Stepping Out of Squalor Solicitation PolicyStepping Out of Squalor was created to provide a safe online place for members to communicate with each other regarding their journeys recovering from squalor in their lives. It is intended to be a place where the shame and condemnations of the public can be set aside while dealing with our particular levels of squalor. This is a support group. In order for this online community to feel safe with each other, it is imperative that people whose purpose for joining is solely to solicit products, services, participation in research or television programs or otherwise realize this and gain permission from the administration group prior to posting solicitations. To ask permission of the admin group, contact us and state your case via a private message to all of us. After review by the admins, your request may be granted and an admin may introduce your request to the community. At that time you would be able to state your case if you joined. Or you may simply want the admins to quote your original message and give contact information in that post. The post will be pinned to the top of the General board for a short time, then allowed to drop. Re-posting the subject without prior approval will be dealt with by the admins as needed. Solicitations made without prior approval from the admin group will be deleted. The administrator making the deletion will attempt to contact the violator and reference this policy. No solicitation for money or donations will be allowed at SOS, except on behalf of the website itself.
