Hi skatters! I have read shiny sink 101. I don't like to use bleach and I feel just soap and boiling water are great for me and my pink grapefruit eco-friendly cleaning spray! I bought a vileda sink brush that works really well. i am having no luck with sponges, they get musty so fast. i want to go back to dish cloths. I used to wring them out really well and fold and hang to dry on the faucet. Nowadays, i have lost my dishcloths. I don't want to put them into the regular laundry but i could have a few to rotate and just wash soak in boiling water and hang to dry. These are my sink goals tomorrow 1~ use toothbrush around edges and faucet 2~look for blue , orange and yellow dishcloths to match my glass bottles and s and p shakers. 3~buy more method pink grapefruit catch you later! Day 1 -- Shine the sink. Day 2 -- Dress to the shoes. Maintain the sink. (so I remember to dress to the shoes tomorrow.)
Ok... here I go to shine the stinkin' sink! It will take me quite a while - it is nasty!

Hi Cando! Welcome! Congrats Ande on getting your sink shined!
Well my sink is cleared out. But it is not cleaned out, nor is it shiny. I decided that while I had my sink cleared out (and that it is garbage night) that I will clear out whatever stinks in the fridge. And it turned out to be some really nasty stuff that was in AND under the drawers - that resembled baby yak. It was awful. So I got the worst of that cleaned up... and now the fridge is sitting there with shelves out, etc... And... And... And...
My sink didn't get shined. But tomorrow, I will dress to the shoes, shine that danged sink AND put the fridge back together. I will.

Hi skatters! Hi Andrea and Cando! skatters, great job with the fridge! that is quite the accomplishment! I have made a meal for the first time in months, the dishes are pretty much done up, two loads washed and put away. I wiped behind the faucets where I tend to splash water and picked up a few kernels of corn from from the dish plug which i would have left before. I used a paper towel around the faucet, some kind of black builds up there. it is the type you pull up and down. I got my cleaner today. I tried another type, gentle abrasive on the middle of the two sinks. I didn't really see much difference. tomorrow~ dress to shoes~ my shoes are uncomfortable,so i need better shoes. I think something to slip on and off would be good. I don't like socks and shoes, my feet get sweaty. I do like the idea of being ready to take garbage or recycling out and go to the laundry room. Goal~ wash garden clogs to use for indoor, outdoor See you tomorrow!

I like Flylady, too, but always end up unsubscribing, because my inbox gets so innondated with their emails. They send out hundreds, in what seems to be a short period of time! I do like however, how they stay "on" you, though. Good luck to everybody!

I had a bit of a head start since I started Flyady over again last week. However, the only things I have really done so far are the shoes and the sink, so I think I'm right on track here.

Last night I did all dishes, etc. then swiped out the 2 sinks in my kitchen. I did not use anything to shine them, though. They look pretty good without using anything special... Of course, 2 hours after i was done, DH finally came home from work and ate food and left stuff in the sink & on the stove. I did not go back in there and do his dishes, etc. This is the type thing that gives me a dilemma. It was 10pm when I was finished in the kitchen. ARggh! I am still counting Day 1 as done. AS far as today... I dressed2shoes and put lipstuff on, brushed hair, but no make-up or teeth brushing..... took DD to school early. Then, I came home & showered2shoes, brushed teeth, make-up & blow-dried & styled hair. So, yet to be done... is sink cleared before I go to bed.

- Pssst F.Y.I.
I found this on FlyLady's website:Okay we're not supposed to quote her, but I think it's okay to quote the fact that we're not supposed to quote her. What does she mean about "material"? Can it be paraphrased? or is the CONCEPT copyright, too? I"m thinking you cannot post the daily mission in this thread, but you can link to it. Example .... post one of these on each day: Day 1: flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.aspDay 2: flylady.net/pages/bbd2.aspDay 3: flylady.net/pages/bbd3.aspDay 4: flylady.net/pages/bbd4.aspDay 5: flylady.net/pages/bbd5.aspDay 6: flylady.net/pages/bbd6.aspDay 7: flylady.net/pages/bbd7.aspEtc. etc. I would think that we cannot quote the actual material ... or even paraphrase ... when giving out the daily mission .... because we'd be giving out the whole system here. So probably best to just give the links. I think our members can REPLY with how we are doing and say whatever we wish about how our day went. Don't quote the mission in your reply. Make your reply be about YOU. Just say what you did that day and/or how you felt about your day. You can say " I worked on cleaning up the bedroom." Just don't mention if it happens to be the official "mission of the day" or not. You can also say: " I was going to clean the bedroom but chose to work on the bathroom instead" (if you are doing a variation on the mission). Disclaimer: I'm not a copyright expert, and I'm just guessing here. Big Tent (bigtent.com) is the company that distributes the Flylady emails and some of her additional members-only stuff that Flylady wants you to read. They have links to the following copyright information: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Actand www.copyright.gov-
