Hi all, except for afew errands, I've totally cleared the next 4 days (through Sunday), and really want to get a lot of work done. Everyone from 'just starting' to 'maintainer' is invited to join in to do as much as possible the next few days of a loooong weekend. So, as usual, do a little, do a lot, in whatever manner you want. ...Just be sure to tell us what you are doing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This morning I've taken out some trash, and brought in the last empty recycling bin to fill for morning pick-up. So, now I'm off to flatten what goes into it.....

The recycling can is now full and out. The trash can is full, and I think there is enough collected to fill another before the morning. I also filled half a new box for goodwill, and put away most of the dishes. Now that I'm doing dishes regularly, and slowly have kept gathering more orphan dishes from around the house, there was beginning to be too much tableware for the drawer. So I sorted out some of it, and put the extras away elsewhere. In the end there should be an extra set that will go to goodwill. I think today the focus will be on clearing out the goods for a particular project that had been collecting in the dining room. I now have a place for much if it elsewhere. Some will have to be tossed.

I'm working in the 'laundry room' which actually is a converted bedroom. Inside drying lines, shelving and a closet for putting things away, etc. Works pretty well. ...Unfortunately there is also lots of space for junk to collect. I'm working in there to free up a space for a keeper sewing table instead of working in the dining room. And I have hit a vein of virgin clutter, including a few 'time capsule' boxes - probably the last ones from emergency cleanings before I just gave up..... Stuff is flying into 'get this out of here' bins fast. I'm also finding things I'd forgotten about, including a couple nice coffee mugs and well-loved t-shirts that will be cleaned and saved. Very productive work. I'm going back in............ Call the 'jaws of life' if I don't return.

Hmm, I seem to be taking natural breaks about every hour today. Found and am washing the wool bed pad I had wondered if we still had, . There is also a load of towels ready to go in too. And half the floor is ready for vacuuming. Also came across the small old black/wh tv that is going to the dump. Still works, but it's never used. Lots going into trash and rag-bag too. After vacuuming what's been done this morning, I'll be able to move the sewing table into the room, as well as have access to everything else. I'm not intending to finish that room right now since it's not a public room. But it was necessary to do that much to get rolling on things that couldnt be done elsewhere. On a side note, I tried to change the lightbulbs in there to more energy efficient ones. Turns out the cieling fixture in there takes odd-sized bulbs so we'll have to change the entire fixture. drats. Don't know what possesses people to do such odd things. %&*$#@...

Done too much the last few hours to list - besides, monologues are boring... No one else is doing any work today? Feel free to join in if you are.

Thanks, and, yes, I did a lot today... and am very tired. Just had dinner - thank goodness for previously frozen meals. I just had to thaw and heat the spag sauce, and boil some noodles. DH made the salad, bless his heart. Anyway, since my last post I moved all of the craft items from one project into their current home - the new table in the laundry room. And washed another load of laundry, but haven't yet hung it (tomorrow), and remade the bad with the freshly washed wool bed pad. I should sleep soundly tonight. In the morning I'll be off on an errand, then I may do some holiday grocery shopping to beat the crowds, then home in the afternoon for more work. edit: I decided I needed to move my tracker to 100 'full cans gone' as the goal (from 90). I could tell I'll probably need that many more.

I'll be participating here I need to write the [sigh] school paper, on Saturnday we will be doing some christmas shopping (we are not usually doing that this early, but Fiancé will be visiting his family on the other side of country at the end of the month and can take our presents to them with him). Then I will be maintaining, and do some more deep cleaning on bathroom, wash couple of loads of laundry (and make sure DF washes his laundry this weekend). I will want to go to the gym too, either tonight or Sunday. Or both So nothing huge going on here*, but let's cheer on eachother and keep company! Right now I am doing dishes, the last pan is soaking there, rest of are already washed. Then I will wipe the counters, and take a shower before DF comes home *= the school paper is actually huge for me, though it isn't desqualoring my home, it is desqualoring my life/ university studies. The cristmas shopping while some might consider it fun, is very tiring for me, also gym excercise take all of my energy, usually, for the rest of that day.

Ok, I have now washed bathroom door from both sides, and washed the rest of the BR floor that didn't get deep cleaned/scrubbed this week. I also washed shower cabinets walls and tap while I took a shower as well as wiped the counter after I had done my hair.
Now I have a nice cup of coffee and surf the web a little. Then I'll go to book the laundry room and take 2 loads there, and while they get washed, I guess I could start writing the school paper so I would get today's writing done before it gets too late.
Now when do I make dinner and eat? hmmm...

Looks like today it's a monologue time for me, then *grin* I have my laundry washing right now, and I have eaten dinner (DF made it . I have done all house work I hoped to for today, but have not yet started the school work. I really should vacuum clean too, I didn't have time/energy last week and dust bunnies have started to emerge to their family meeting.

I'm back from my errands. Among them was doing most of the shopping for TG, at least the part I am cooking. Got one of those cheapo turkeys, and I had to buy $25 stuff to get the price. I did very well, didn't buy anything we won't use, and the entire bill, including the 20# bird was $37. All the perishables are also now put away.
We have a small extra fridge that really comes in handy at times like this - it only will run for a less than a week. I probably could have crammed everything in to the reg fridge, but 'crammed' and not very functional it would have been.
Ya, it's been a bit of a surprise that so few people contribute to any of the 'doing' threads. Not sure why, perhaps it's because those doing work seem so widely dispersed between chat, various listzilla threads, and all the blogs. I keep skipping around trying to find really active threads where people are working on their homes together, and making headway, but to be honest, I'm not having much luck finding where 'the action' is.
