Great job! An untouched room... sounds like a treasure! My car was purple in high school. LOVED that car. And I painted my bathroom purple after Mean Hubby left. ! I would want to play with the 70s and 80s stuff.

I would *love* to have avacodo green carpet! I love retro stuff. Congrats on the work on the room.
We are doing a lot of painting right now, and I have found out that if you are painting your walls an actual color (as opposed to white or eggshell) that you should use flat paint, not semigloss. If you are worried about fingerprints, then use satin finish, but I was told never to buy semigloss paint in an actual color because it will seem too shiny. Just thought I would pass that on.

Oh! And one other thing I found out too. If you are using a color on the walls, make sure you paint the ceiling white or off white or a very, very light shade of the wall color. It's too much otherwise.

Wooly You've sure made good progress in the house! Soo many bags of things "to donate". That will take a while.
Purple - how nice. Good luck with the painting.
Avacado green rugs oh boy. Retro. In my old house, which was built in mid-;40s, there was dark orange shag carpeting '60's retro for sure! in: one bedroom, the whole frontroom and the dining room. Lived with that for many years. Before I moved (knowing the house was going to be torn down) I took a crowbar and big screwdriver to take a look at what was under that rug. It was that old grey/black/white speckled tile used in homes years ago, probably from the '50's!!
Interesting to follow your posts of progress in the house.
