Today I targeted one specific small area in my living room, took a picture, and after I had cleared that spot I took an "after" picture.
Then I chose another area, and another, and another ...
Plenty more to do. But this was a great way of seeing some progress.
And when I looked at the "after" pictures, I discovered that there were still a few things that I had not noticed in "real life", that needed to be put away.
Taking pictures is a great way to stay on track, at least it is for me. Similarly, I find it very helpful to use a timer, 10 minutes at a time, challenging myself how much I can get done during that short period of time. Rinse and repeat.
Time to get something done in the kitchen now. One area at a time. Will take more pictures.

Hi Rosebud, I'm glad the photo thing is working - this is what I've started doing too and it's works for me.

Oh so true, Rosebud... I did that (take photos) recently, and you're not kidding... There are definitely things that are not so noticeable when you use the naked eye.
If you don't have a camera, you can also cup your hand like a telescope and look through that. It eliminates distractions around the area you are cleaning. (My parents taught me to do that to really focus on a painting or scupture at a museum).

Rosebud-I definitely see the merit in taking pictures. Especially downloading them onto the computer. I could not believe my pics when I posted them. I see it every day, but somehow seeing a picture of it really brings it home.
