I didn't get a whole lot done today; messing with the tree gave me arms so itchy that no amount of anti-itch cream could give me relief. Took some Benadryl and slept most of the day. Also, my stomach was very unhappy with some coffee my dh bought, and so I have dealt with that disaster all day. Urgh.
But I feel a little better now, and my kids did stop and get me some more totes, so I hope to finish sorting/toting my decorations tonight. I filled five totes, but they aren't huge ones; they're about 13" high. Just the right size to go above the closet. And it needed done anyway; the cardboard boxes were just falling apart and there were some things I could get rid of in there.
I did get my coffee table all cleaned off, so that was something. I think a key is to realize when we truly ARE not feeling well and not just making excuses to get out of work. I don't feel quite so bad, knowing that I really was dealing with real issues.

Washed another sinkful of dishes & a bunch of big pots, pans, etc. Moved load of laundry to dryer & put another one in washer. Put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard. And, put 9 bottles/cans/jars in recycle bag.

I have to clean my family room before 2pm today when some people are dropping back a lounge we loaned them. it will nice to get it back to maintenance which is not too far away now. I'm going to do my flylady crisis clean tape, takes and hour.
Okay, dressed, had bp med, & heated up some soup. Too hot!
Crises clean tape... hmmmm. Sounds like something that I could use. I have guests coming on Sunday (DD's -- 2 friends who have never been over). The house won't be good, but will do the best that I can. I am familiar with Flylady and read about the crises cleaning a long time ago, but didn't know there was a tape. That sounds really helpful.
After eating, I'm not sure what I'll do next. Make a list, I suppose. Then, either roll dice or choose which one MUST be done first... I think there will be a time crunch for a couple things...
glad you found the link, I find it helpful as she just keeps me moving! the crisis cleaning is good for tidying a mess in a hurry when company is coming, but it's not made for heavy cleaning / squalor. I love flyladies routines and am hoping to be doing them soon.
washing up is finally done!! dishes wiped up and put away in cupboards all kitchen benches clean and wiped kitchen floor swept coffee table cleaned off bathroom tidied load of washing on dining table cleared rubbish bagged and outside
I'm going to get dressed and have brekky, then back to do some more
thanks cando, I feel a lot better today, I guess all that sleep helps wtg on the getting clean and shiny!! I'm gonna work in chat for a while, see if I can get this family room back up to maintenance today.

HI Louie. Well, you can always start a thread like this one & people can just jump in... or we can keep this one going. You've done a lot. I just wish that lots of others would jump in and work with us.
I owe apology... I forgot to check in before I left. Here's what I've done: brushed teeth & hair, perfume, lipstick
took Puppy with me to Petsmart -- bought dog food, probiotics, Omega 3, Furminator that was highly referred to me, pill pockets.
dropped Puppy off at home because she was rather stressed at Petsmart... it's been too long since I've taken her there & a couple months since she's been to play with other dogs....
went to cleaners & picked up DH's clothes.
went to Target... out of Excedrin so now I finally got them in me.
made my bed
Next: cook dinner! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That time I set timer for 15 minutes & stopped & came over to type this... Rinsed & skinned chicken legs & thighs. Put them in casserole dish & sprinkled with salt, pepper & garlic powder. Put them in oven. Then, put frozen Stouffer's Spinach Soufle in microwave.
Next: slice some onion & zucchini & get that sauteeing with garlic powder, pepper, other seasonings... Then, get started making bbq sauce for the chicken.
