This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before! The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place! If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!! You could post: Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away. Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da! If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM! TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Had a very productive Saturday with my sister over - we went through the Walk-in-Closet (also affectionately known as The Black Hole) and bagged/boxed stuff in the bottom as to-be-donated, garbage to be thrown away, or Keep, very Useful - but at school, not in at home (I will be taking it in to use). Once I can put all the bags on the curb (we are due for MORE snow, but I hope Tuesday night I can put it out), I can store my vacuum, fan, grocery cart and not have that stuff cluttering my foyer!!!! Major improvement looming!
Have to be more realistic today about what I can do, with only one pair of hands:
TA-DA - fed cat - scooped litter - used Neti Pot to clear out my sinuses aggravated by the dust yesterday
To-do - prepare breakfast and eat - clean up breakfast dishes and wash kitchen counter - clear off top of lowboy
I'll be back before noon - I hope!
Hope everyone who follows gets off on a good start.

Good morning Starflower, Stressedbythemess
Stressed - I have to laugh - I have a container of free weights, exercise DVDS and a good exercise mat gathering dust. I am not going to put them out yet because with the new year I may be inspired to get in better shape... Starflower - I may join the chat room today at some point though it seems to go to fast for me (I've only done 1 chat challenge of course)
Well, here it goes:
TA-DA! - Prepared and ate a delicious breakfast - Washed all dishes and counters in kitchen - Located enough quarters in various locations to plan for 5 loads of laundry! That should keep me busy.
TO-DO - Sort laundry and bring down 3 loads to wash to apartment laundry room - Put laundry in dryer - Sort through ONE pile on the lowboy and toss/file or re-locate to a permanent home

Good job everyone! Nutty, If it seems intimidating to do the whole refrigerator at once, and that keeps you from starting, just focus on one shelf, or even part of a shelf. That is what I have been trying to do with projects that seem overwhelming. Sometimes once you get started, you just keep going. Sometimes you just need a break. Just start it and see how it goes.
TaDa Groceries brought in and put away. Baked chicken and brown rice. Ate lunch.
ToDo, Clean up in kitchen Check on critters (dog fish chickens) Take dog for jog.

Hello Stressed, Starflower, Nutty, W8ing-no-more !
Got a little side tracked, but I have still accomplished some tasks - Nutty - don't fret about 'when' you should have done something like clean the frig - the important thing is you do get to it eventually and that you probably did some other important things instead of cleaning the frig.
TA-DA - Sorted and straightened through 3 book shelves for books to donate or organize in proper bookcase/shelf so I can find it in the future! - Swept up misc. garbage that fell on floor as I cleaned off the 3 bookshelves - Carried into the foyer the laundry baskets full of clothing I need to wash
TO-DO: - Bring down laundry baskets and put in washer - Put laundry into dryer - Clean off one pile on top of lowboy in living room
Good luck - remember one step at a time!

Starflower, sounds like real progress on the laundry room
Ontheway, good going with the lowboy piles.
Stressedbythemess, WTG with the Xmas tins. A knitting group must be fun.
Nutty, good luck focusing on the frig. I have done just one or two shelves like W8ing suggested and it has worked for me.

tada- got DH to lug Christmas stuff back up to the attic, on Sat. spent the day cleaning out D3's room - threw out one giant trash bag of junk. Room looks much better, though not 100%
todo - start decluttering DS1 & DS2 bedroom - rearrange the furniture so "house guest" has place to sleep and store his clothing while he is with us. This may take some effort - I may do this over 2 days since I have tomorrow off - yay!

DT, You are getting a lot done!!! Good work!
Here in PA we have had an invasion of the stink bugs the past few years. During the day they tend to hang out near the windows, so this afternoon I spent some time knocking stink bugs into a cup of soapy water. Then I gave them a ride in the Porcelain Express. Fun huh? Finished 3 earlier todo's TaDa!!!!
DH asked me to watch some football with him, so I may do that for a bit. Then I will figure out more from there. I am working all week so it may have something to do with preparing lunches or doing laundry.
