As our community grows older, we're collecting a lot of favorite threads! To make it easier to spot the newer posts, we've created a sub-board for the threads the community finds itself returning time-after-time. Take time to give these older posts a read. We'll move additional favorite topics as necessary.
In the meantime, if you have a personal favorite you find yourself revisiting often, use the 'Bookmark' button on the top and bottom of each thread. From then on, you should be able to find it easily by going into your Profile and clicking on the 'Bookmarks' link.

Thanks for creating this celeste...I was just about to suggest the same thing. It will make the boards easier to read I think!

I can't really take full credit for this, to be honest. Another mod mentioned the log jam at the top of the General Board and we put our heads together for a solution.

Good idea. I haven't been here as long as some and there have been periods of time when I wasn't even visiting the site so I have missed many of the golden oldies.
I looked at a couple older threads yesterday and saw many names with many posts to their credit and wonder how they are doing. I know all boards can have turn-over of posting members, but did they actually break free of this terrible affliction? I hope so.

What a great idea! There are so many good threads though, it will be hard to choose what to leave out.

Can we nominate threads we think are important? I would nominate: Buying for lives we don't lead the one discussing the 'Mandala' concept of daily maintenance (which I can't find back to save my life -- Lion is scoffing as she reads this ) Lion's 'Sunk costs' thread -- seems like we all fuss about what we paid for things we should release Maybe the 'how far have you come' one and a self-squalor one Maybe a financial squalor one... Also 'Help with Paper'

I would like to nominate meme's thread, 'but I'm not hurting anyone'. It's great for learning what needs to be done for inspections and it is an eye-opener for seeing how 'but I'm not hurting anyone' isn't true. Some good tough love/straight talk in this post. Thanks.

Lioness posted a couple.

I'd like to nominate CourageouslyLion_SeeksSerenity's post on Amnesty, it seems to centralise a number of related topics. Permission to discard perfectly good stuff! takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=11341&page=1Indeed if such posts as these are done monthly and sticky, the top line of each new month could include a link to the previous month and a brief summary. E.g. (Link to last months favorites) See last months link for details on --> planning, --> quick cleaning tips, --> finding hope, --> beginning your journey, --> is level 1 maintenance possible - plus links to many more. So a relatively simple tree can formed.

I know I'm very new, and I hope suggesting something isn't pushy.
How about some threads that give instructions about how to clean very bad messes? Like the one Di Dreaming just posted about cleaning a bad fridge? A place to go to for newcomers who are trying to clean squalor for the first time might find that kind of thing really helpful. All the threads about specifics in one place, instead of scrolling through looking.

I'd like to suggest that Still's recent post in by-ways entitled Priceless Gifts is one that many would like to easily find and re-read from time to time.
For now I've both bookmarked it and printed a copy to put up on my fridge.
