Great job, Renee!!! Now, are you on Round 2?  Everyone is doing so good. I've been meaning to get back here and post... Last year I did several rounds of this. I am hoping to get even more done this year! ***Please remember if it looks like a lot that I am tossing... I count individual papers, catalogs, brochures, etc. I have HUGE paper problems, here!!!***So, getting caught up... here is a lot at one time because it covers January 1st thru January 19th! 1 half bag of green beans 1 left-over greens 1 left over noodles 1 left over Tuna Noodle Fritatta 1 left over hamburgers 1 left over rice 2 almost empty bags of cheeses 1 empty cake box 1 plastic grocery bag 3 bags of bags put in recycle bin at Wal-Mart 29 misc. trash 15 bags of trash 1 empty box into outside recycle bin 5 bags of recyclable bottles/cans/jars 2 bags of paper stuff into recycle bin (papers/catalogues/brochures/etc). 2 recipes 1 half bag of lettuce that was turning brown 11 bottles/cans/jars 273 paper type things put in recycle bag 2012 - 352 (assuming I totaled the list above, correctly) 1660 to go! How about 2012: It won't end the world if we THROW it! (Sing it in your head to an R.E.M. tune!) Threw Away or Recycled: 5 shirts 2 pairs of underwear 1 holey sock 3 crappy plastic store hangers 2 blocks of wood 2 nearly used up old bottles of lotion 4 batteries of unknown usage 1 dart case w/repair parts 1 bundle of papers Total: 21 Sent to Goodwill: 1 ice cream dish 1 picnic caddy w/cutting board and utensils 5 adult sized items of clothing 65 baby/toddler sized items of clothing 20 board books 1 musical baby toy Total: 93 So Far: 114! Only 1898 to go! I'm not counting the trash that gets tossed everyday without trouble, just the stuff that would otherwise be hanging around. Papers I'm going to count by the vague measurement of 'a bundle' since they swarm us!  |

 Tossed out: 1 hand beater with broken handle 1 stained t-shirt 2 shedding scarves 1 broken toy Gave away: 1 Half case of disposable diapers too small for The Doctor and way too big to hold onto until The General is that size. Total: 6 1898 minus 6 = 1892 left to purge!

I threw out 1 jacket that i wore around the house only. It has been ready to go for a few years now, and I only wear it at home. When I wash it falls apart a little bit more, so I haven't washed it in a really long time and, well it stinks. It can't be washed again, it wouldn't survive and would clog up my drains. It was like my blankey. It's just one item. Bye my blankey jacket, bye.

Saffron -- Great job tossing papers, teddy bear & old cassette tape. I'll bet I have some of those to toss, too. Messime! Oh, I know that was hard tossing Blankey Jacket. Here's a hug:  PaperGrace -- Great job with all you've been tossing & giving away!!! Here's my update. Wednesday, Jan. 25th:59 papers into recycle bag Went thru 4 days worth of mail. 1 recipe tossed 1 can put in recycle bag Thursday, Jan. 26th:3 bags of bagels that were given to us but have been taking up space in my freezer. Went thru major section of my Office in a Bag:
1 thing into trash 68 papers into recycle bag Started going thru an older purse & I'm about halfway thru it:Tossed 2 packs of gum 2 pads 1 bottle of expired tylenol 1 immodium pill Total gotten rid of those 2 days = 139 1527 -1391388 to go! CD |

Oh this is so cool,I am able to join in from the beginning,so do I have to "make up" for the days
that have gone by already in January?Have been getting rid,but not keeping count.Will start today
w/ my 51/2 (i'll make it 6) items.I will list later.

Here is my 6 for the day:a tin of pickled octopus from the cabinet (no one will miss or eat this,I'm sure)portable CD player,empty bottle of vanilla extract,bag of tired looking X-mas ornaments,1/2
a box of old rose fertilizer,ummm...can't remember the 6th & don't feel like getting up checking list
in kitchen,sorry...tired now,end of day.Some of this I pitched in bin,some will go to thrift shop.Bring
it on!
