I am going to start on Round #2= 2012 to go! WTG for ROUND TWO!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! Three cheers for you - and for everyone else who is tossing stuff! Each thing out is one less thing in our way!

Blue sweater which has holes under the arms and which I had sewn up several times - out it went and a pity as it was a good shade of blue.

Blue sweater which has holes under the arms and which I had sewn up several times - out it went and a pity as it was a good shade of blue. Good to you, Rory! You deserve not to wear worn out, patched up, raggedy clothes. Not only do you deserve better, but there are other sweaters available out there that don't have holes, that are also a good shade of blue.

1,795 - 8 more pieces of trash (including one shopping bag full of trash, counted as 1 item) _____ 1,787
And my sinuses are killing me from stirring up all this dust. But as a friend told me the other day, I have chronic dust exposure daily from living in it. Better to get it cleaned up now,'and not have constant daily exposure from now on.

Instruction manuals for tape recorder which are not in English or French. I kept the French one as I am learning French. Instuction manuals for GPS with are not in French. The English one is I fear somewhere in the wilds of Africa probably being read by an inteligent elephant.

The English one is I fear somewhere in the wilds of Africa probably being read by an inteligent elephant. Oh, Rory! I just love your posts! Glad you got rid of those raggedy, holey things... and especially the pre-nibbled on pasta. :- / Congrats to Saffy for completing Round 1!!!!!!! [/b][/size]:-/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Update: Feb. 21Tossed dividers from Recipe Box & a couple other papers rather than leaving them out as I used to many years ago whenever I worked on a project. 26 papers tossed. 242 -26 = 216 to go! Feb. 221 pair of DH's shoes into giveaway bag 150 hangers dropped off at cleaners that takes them & seems to appreciate them. 216 - 151 = 65 to go! Feb. 231 Creamer tossed. (1/2 full small carton, expired) 4 papers tossed 65 - 5 = 60 to go! Feb. 243 bags of trash to outside can 1 bag of recyclable bottles/cans/jars to outside can 4 bottles/cans put in recycle bag Went thru an old purse for 15 min. - stuff from 2010 (Mar.-June): 13 papers into recycle bag Tossed: 3 tampons 1 pen 1 zip bag with some tylenol pills in it. 1 gift card holder 1 penlight 12 gum wrappers 2 mints 8 sticks of gum Shredded for 15 min. stuff from 1999 Tax Box It felt so awkward to shred or toss stuff that I thought was so important once upon a time... hard to release it for some strange reason. It also had the calendar from that time... with all our activities on it. Almost a diary, well sort of?... tossed it anyway.: 80 papers shredded 18 papers into recycle bag 15 min. on dining room table which is in maintenance so not terrible: Tossed: 1 plastic bag 1 wet nap 11 papers into recycle bag 60 - 60 = 0 Yay! Finished with Round 1 of tossing 2012 items. Began 2nd Round of tossing 2012 items. Will count up to 2012 this time. 101 in Round 2 Feb. 273 bags of trash to outside can 3 bags of shreds to outside recycle can 1 bag of bottles/cans/jars to outside recycle can 1 big bag & 1 smaller bag of paper recyclables to outside can Went thru some papers on Dining Room table: 2 things into trash 12 papers into recycle bag 101 + 23 = 124 in Round 2 Feb. 28From dining room table: 15 papers into recycle bag 124 + 15 = 139 in Round 2 (Yes, I am counting every single one of those darn papers! Paper H*ll! that's what I'm in... It feels good to release even 1 of them. They seem to multiply like rabbits when I'm not looking. I am shooting for more than 3 rounds of 2012 items tossed this year. Last year, I did 3 rounds of 2011... and would like to get totally out of paper h*ll this year!). CD

Feb. 29went thru big paper pile on dining room table *3 papers "to be shred" *11 things into trash: papers, zip bag, wet naps, etc. *105 papers/catalogs/magazines into recycle bag *2 empty boxes in recycle bag *spent 20 minutes going thru purse from March - June 2010. - actually finished this time. 1,787 - 64 items out - 4 "items" were small shopping bags of trash _____ 1723 I must have throw away a dozen or more *previously used* ( ) aquarium filters. Why in the world did I not throw them away to start with???!!!!??? I'm still sick, feeling worse actually. Slept most of yesterday, but every time I get up to go to the kitchen for tea, or the restroom, or anything else that pries me out of bed, I grab something(s) and throw it away. I missed trash pick up yesterday - so now I have the bags sitting in my kitchen, but at least they are bagged up and tied shut.
