Anyone is welcome to comment and/or join in as you wish. I like to make lists every day - so I'm trying this as a way to list what I've done + what I need to do -- I think that with small steps I can step out of the depression and out of some of the larger issues. I seem to be keeping up pretty well with maintenance as far as the squalor/clutter is concerned but I still have project areas, and some days are better than others. I do keep up with dishes + laundry on a daily basis. Self care, and larger home maintenance issues, I really need to keep focused and become more consistent. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 - ate small breakfast fed cats + cleaned their litters responded to emails gave motherinlaw her shower went and bought groceries small amount to hold us til Mar. 1 make lunch for me and for motherinlaw wash dishes sort laundry to see how many full loads I have today + start at least one load/ 2nd load in dryer now journaling and meditation while it is quiet when/if others nap pre-plan supper - I think a home cooked soup look for a fiction book to read tonightfound a non-fiction glance over library book on meditation cook supper wash dishesLarger Maintenance Small Steps: priced carpenter ant, termite spray at Walmart research options about pest control (ongoing + take notes)

Chris, I hope this will be a good method for you, especially in helping you deal with the depression.

Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 dressed made breakfast for us 3 fed cats scoop litters bandage etc. for MIL go to post office inspection for car/ that was interesting .... DH thought he could write a check + no as I thought they want cash ... two places then I told him take me to the bank and I got $20 out and told him where I like to go (for clients) for inspection and we were in and out in 20 minutes then he "let" me drive home. I don't feel superior but it was a good teaching tool to be able to say that he doesn't listen to me but he usually says I don't listen to him so maybe we should both listen to each other. pick up prescriptions make lunch organize desk wash sheets + comforter remake bed ? pre-plan supper ? it will be either chicken or pork/ made nice homecooked pork + veggie soup finish grocery list

OK, I am just so impressed how you handled coming out of the shower to find a house full of people. I probably would have hidden in the bathroom until they were all gone! Glad you made it through ok.

hi Seashell + Lioness! Oh I've hidden in the past -- at least this time I had taken my shower and was in clothing when I realized they were here -- this house is too small when running about in a robe with company in house! Thanks Lioness -- I am waking up to a lot to a lot of things recently. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 gave MIL her shower + applied toe medication fed cats made breakfast tacos for us 3 humans scraped together enough change and dollars to buy "Torn" by Amanda Hocking ~ second in her series which I am enchanted with. clean litter boxes run to Walmart for book and peanut butter check clothes I have hanging to see if they are dry yet daily meditation and journaling wash sheets and some small pjs items with them (bed is already remade with clean stuff) bring in recycling and trash cart in write the small "note" I have in mind in regard to my looking in the mirror today and finally being able to say "yes" to the Steve Jobs quote/question taped there: "if this were your last day alive would you be doing what you are about to do today". ~~~ ~~~ this is important to me I do not want to forget to do this - I have the sense that I need to take an hour to write/type this revelation out. email friend to check in prepare lunch (tuna sandwiches and soup) get an idea for supper - check leftovers to see if there could be enough if maybe I make rice to go with it.

Saturday March 3, 2012 -- My sleep is messed up. Ikky little pattern of waking up crying about 1 am to 3 am really sucks and is non understandable. Can't know what that is about. Been having neck pain. A lot of uncertainty and unraveling going on... Just would like to pack up and leave or find some way to be at peace. Tomorrow is already here but I'm not ready to take a shower yet. List: shower go after the waffles (was given tickets for waffle fundraiser breakfast) bandage MILs foot clean up kitchen lunch fix hair etc. make sure of what to wear for memorial/rosary supper - ? not sure whathave a healthy home made soup simmering now on the stove picked up more prescriptions for MIL bought knee highs for myself snack - leftovers microwaved go to rosary I don't do well with change which is bad because life is change. Inside me my feeling about so many things has changed -- and I have yet to redesign my actual life/schedule to fit the inner changes. Some things which turned out to be for a season instead of for long term need to be shed and most likely left behind. I don't want to let my mind take me over -- I want to be able to see which things are mind created pain and illusion and which things are my heart saying -- I'm outta here.
