Great job getting what we did yesterday to everyone. I was seriously hoping to make it to church but I am seriously not feeling good this morning. I am unable to turn my neck w/o being in excruciating pain so will take it easy today. I will take boys to candy sales later but plan to do school work while there.

tossed a recipe that I don't want to keep even tho DH liked it. He likes lots of things, thankfully. I didn't like this one.
Found my good knife!!! Forgot that I had dropped it before I left town and it somehow went under the refrigerator. So, got a yardstick and swiped it out from underneath.
swept up the dog hair & other debris (crumbs, etc) that came out from under the refrigerator along with my knife.
thoroughly cleaned that dang knife!
cut up 2 onions

cut up 4 garlic cloves
rinsed bell pepper, but DH is taking it back to the store & getting me another one. This one was bad in the inside.
made ranch dressing
put together a salad
rinsed & sliced tomatoes

boiled some eggs
rinsed & cut up bell pepper (DH went & exchanged the bad bell pepper & bought a couple other things I needed)
cut up a little more onion
strained the spaghetti sauce
boiled some pasta

got some dishes soaking
put left-overs away
boiled some more pasta
went thru Office in a Bag looking to see if I had bills I need to pay. Not really... glad I paid them before I left town. I will need to pay a couple tomorrow, but not as pressured about them... so will let them wait. I did make a phone card re: a credit card & got the interest lowered and converting to a cash back program. Also, got DH to review taxes cause I thought we owed an estimated payment... he had said "no" when I wanted to make the payment last month. Well, he's not sure now, so just wants me to go ahead and make the payment after all. Argghh! He is the one who sat with the accountant & I tried to watch and follow but it was like... 3's a crowd as I couldn't see and seemed like they were just trying to talk with each other & didn't like me interrupting... It was aggravating, then. Also, got him to speak with him about another financial paper that I had been holding to show him & review with him. And, also re: property insurance, too. We also discussed another insurance and he decided that he does want me to take this insurance out. I wasn't sure about it and had held onto this paper until we got a chance to discuss it. So, Yay!!! Lots accomplished!!!

started down the steps to go to church, but discovered two oily-type stains on the bodice of my dress, visible in the sunlight, but not in my darkened house. Well, went back in, threw the dress in the washer, and went back to bed. I didn't have anything to wear!
napped for two hours
DSon called, fixed computer, made plans for 4:30 p.m. fish fry we bought tickets to.
ate the last of the spicy Indian food leftovers for breakfast
snacking on raw veggies right now
filled water bottle
put most of the washer load into the dryer, did not start yet
took stained dress, poured some stain-remover on stain, letting it sit
e-mail, g-mail, Facebook, etc.
made a pot of coffee

got home and discovered back of car is falling off (the area above the license plate where you "crunch" the handle to open the hatchback) I called DSon, went to his house again, he opened it & put my walker on the backseat so I'll have access to it
got home okay, got walker out of back seat okay
brought in 2 sweet potatoes, put them away (now the car is clean)

returned MC's call
took clothes out of dryer, folded & put away

Saffron, I'm sorry you're having an aggravating day--sounds like you had computer problems too. It's funny how that throws us off--even though I have PLENTY to do that's not on the computer, it feels like the whole day is thrown off when I can't get on line!

Didn't you have any giant brooches (is that how you spell it??) to pin on your dress to hide the stains?

No brooches. The dress already had a million pleats on top. Oh well. Better luck next time. I didn't get my clothes ready like I usually do.

Great day, everyone! I slept well , so getting a good start on the day. My helper just called. She won't be able to come over as planned due to illness. That will give me more time to declutter today. Hopefully, she'll be able to come over on Thursday morning.

I am not doing well, today.
My dogs got into a fight at 4am. We think that my older dog who must have some kind of doggie dementia probably came in my bedroom to tell DH that she needed to go outside, and she probably tripped or walked right over Puppy who seemed to have been sprawled out next to DH's side of the bed sound asleep. My DH has one puncture where he got bit by one of them. DAngelDog seemed okay, but shaken.

Later this morning, she seemed like she could hardly walk and seemed to be a back issue (she already has back & hip problems). She did go outside to urinate. Then, she seemed a little bit better as far as walking went. But, she wanted to drink some water & stood over the water bowl & did something odd with her mouth. As if, something might be hurting her in her mouth. And, I recalled that I thought I saw a little blood above one tooth in her mouth at 4:30 this morning.

I tried to offer her some water with my hand... but she wouldn't even lick her mouth.

Then, she seemed to wander around... so thought maybe she was hungry. I put some food down and she seemed like she wanted to eat it but couldn't seem to get her mouth to work right. So, I tried hand feeding her & still didn't work.

So, I called Vet's office.

Took her immediately there. She perked up when I put the leash on her & walked out of the house, fine. I picked her up and put her in the car but she had trouble lying down.

Noticed after we walked in the door that she was oozing blood out of her mouth...

Vet looked in her mouth..... ended up having her put under anesthesia. He thought one of her teeth may be broken. Turned out none were broken but blood was oozing from her gum in one area. He got rid of the tarter in the area. Also, he gave her antibiotic injection and pain relief injection.

The Vet also explained that it could very well be her kidneys, again. He didn't do a blood draw for that and it's okay with me... as we know already she has kidney problems and it is likely very high right now.

Got her back in the car & bought her a cheeseburger on the way home. I had to carry her in from the car as she just couldn't do it.

At home, she ate half the cheeseburger (hand fed part of it to her & she did the rest herself). She kept wandering back and forth to her waterbowls. I finally picked her up and put her back in the bed & she went to sleep.

Then, later same thing with the wandering back and forth between bowls. She did drink a little bit of water... but mostly standing there & tripping on the bowls. Still wouldn't drink from my hand. Put her back in a bed, but she got out a few minutes later and, again, the wandering to and from bowls. If she is not better by tomorrow afternoon... hard to know what to do. She had been doing so well. But, did notice the last 2 days she was eating and drinking less. This may be about the end for her... I don't want her to suffer and I'm afraid that she is. Could be just the trauma from the scuffle with Puppy and she just needs to rest and heal.

The package was going to be mailed to a friend in a north valley city, not even another state. Then she said it was going to be $8 if I mailed it via USPS. I said more words that can't be printed here. I will finish relating my earlier rant after dinner. Gotta go for now. I am not through ranting, believe you me! 8:45 p.m. okay, I'm done ranting... LOL It's just that the postage was going to cost more than the #$% CDs I was going to mail. We went to the post office and I sent grnddtr-13 in to see how much the one CD would be to mail it. The woman said $2.75 via media rate. I was so slow getting from the car to the p.o., the inner office closed so I was too late to mail the durn things anyway. What a pain! LOL
