Dice Game or Pick from a hat Game!!!

Made my list. Hope someone joins me, today!
I will be playing "Gameboard method". My list is on paper.

1st roll: "8" -- "see if DD's financial stuff is in yet...". Argghh! Not something I wanna do... Okay, done with this! Not as bad to do this as I was dreading...
2nd roll: "8", again... "Laundry" Put away already folded/hung load of laundry away, put another load in washer
3rd roll: "9" -- "Look over bills & pay any, if needed". Good! I was hoping that I would roll this because it was a "have to" for today & would have had to stop at one point & do this... Paid 3 bills & called with a question re: phone bill
4th roll: "7" -- "cook". Argghh! Don't wanna...................... Looked at meal plan menu & decided to make this meal later. I got all ingredients ready except what has to stay refrigerated.
5th roll: "3" -- Ugh! back exercises & push-ups. -- Did I mention that I don't like my list very much? Done! 8 regular, 12 bent-knee, 20 wall.
6th roll: "6" -- clear dining room table (15 minutes on this) -- removed rest of stuff from Fanny Pack that I used a week and a half ago. It was almost empty. Put Fanny Pack where it goes in my closet. Put lots of Office Supplies into Office Supply Closet, put some stuff away from the grocery store like kleenex & wipes. Tossed to go package of plasticware. Didn't finish clearing the table, but cleared it quite a lot. Now 5 people can set at the table & eat.

Baby step Dice Game:
Game board method.

1 - 15 min. dresser
2 - 15 min. Dishes
3 - Beauty challenge... cough, cough.
4 - 15 min. dining room table
5 - 15 min. looking for receipt that I need.
6 - Laundry

Putting music on and ready to roll!
1st roll: "2" - "Dishes". -- put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard, unloaded dishwasher, washed 1 sinkful of dishes & got the rest soaking.
2nd roll: "4" -- brings me to "laundry" -- moved load of laundry to dryer & put another load in washer
3rd roll: "5" -- which actually brings me to #5 "look for receipt" = Yay! Success!

4th roll: "5, again" -- brings me to "dining room table" = 1 magazine put in my bedroom, 4 papers to be shred, 1 paper to be filed, 2 papers that DH needs to look at & then I'll need to file, 21 papers into recycle bag.
5th roll: "4" -- brings me to "Beauty Challenge" = freshened up, dressed in workout clothes, brushed teeth & hair, trimmed 2 fingernails
6th roll: "4, again" -- brings me to "dishes" - Washed 2 more sinkfuls of dishes ... all that's left is a casserole dish.
7th roll: "6" - brings me to "laundry", again. - folded load of laundry, put that load away, moved load to dryer & hung the hang-dry things -- took a little longer as Puppy wanted to help. So, like a toddler, had her hand me something from the dryer, carry pair of socks to put away & carry a sock to the washer from my back bathroom for me. Had to give her treats, too.
8th roll: "3" brings me to "15 minutes dining room table" 24 papers into recycle bag, 6 coupons where they go, put b-day card for DH away where I keep cards like that, put med where I keep it

* These items are priority for today. I may "Jump" 3 items that are not asterisked. I will reuse the same list more or less on Saturday.

1st roll 5 Bathroom... Here I go! Dug deep into scary place under that old clawfoot tub. Lots of junk discarded.
2nd roll 3= 8, which I don't think is too bad right now, I think I'll jump. rolled a 1, Kitchen, now that can use some work! Poof! Tossed more stuff!
Next roll:3 =12 to DD's room. She'll be home in 5 weeks and I want her room to be a nice pleasant oasis when she arrives.

Hi Ally, I would have joined you here today but I was so obsessed with my book purging that I figured I'd better keep going with it while I was on a roll. I hope you were able to work on your DD's room, it's a worthwhile goal to have a comfortable place for her to stay.

Since those of us who like the Dice Game can't seem to get together at the same time, I thought it would be good to have some times when we try to play. I'm going to play on Thursday afternoons for the next several weeks, in hopes that if others are available at that time they'll join in. If someone else feels like having a time that they would like to play every week they can let us know that too.

For anyone who would like to play, remember, you can tailor the game in any way that works for you. You can pick 6 or 11 specific tasks you have to get done that day, or you can list rooms/areas of your home that need work, or really general guidelines, like "declutter something" or "clean something". You can list more than 11 jobs and play the board game method. You can finish a job on a roll or set a timer for 10 minutes a roll. I've been doing something different each time I play lately, so it stays interesting.

Hope to see some folks here tomorrow afternoon, I should be home by noon central US time.

Afternoon everyone

Right, I've got - as ever - lots of jobs... I also have a three-quarters knitted scarf I want to finish in time for the weekend. It's slow going.

So I'm going to play Dice and inbetween each completed job, knit two rows of the scarf.

So..... today's list is:

1) Phone Tony (a builder who has been recommended to me)
2) 15 minutes blitz on the bedroom of bleeuurrrgggghhhhh
3) Clean kitchen floor
4) Finish clearing the area of the sitting room furthest from the window
5) Go through fruitbowl and bin anything that's no longer nice to know
6) 15 minutes bathroom blitz


I rolled two - bedroom of blurgh it is, but I'm going to eat something first!!

Okay, time for Thursday Dice Game!! Hi CM, glad to see you here--wow, knitting in between rolls, that's an example of creative dice gaming!

I tried to make a list this morning and kept crossing things off and adding others, because there are SO many things I have to do. I finally came up with this one:

Hi Di! We posted at the same time.
I had trouble making my list, too, and did the same thing with the crossing off & adding back on... have too much to do. But, finally decided to stick with the highest priorities on my list.

I decided to stick with this list until it is all done!
I'm babystepping it, for sure!

So, did Dishes Part 1 -- put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard. That was a quick easy one!

2nd roll: "8" = 6 = "Dishes Part 4". out of order, but I'll figure it out.

Yeah, I have a lot of dishes to do today too, if I don't roll one of the dishes numbers I may have to do some anyway.

I guess I should be crossing off my finished items on my list here, but I hate coming back and modifyng posts--that's why I make a new post for every roll. So I will be content crossing off the items on my paper list.

Next roll is 10: Clean bathtub drain. A job I've been avoiding for a couple of weeks now...

Oh I don't believe it, I did it again! I cleaned the drain, which was #10 on my list, when I was supposed to go 10 numbers from 6. Honestly, for a simple concept, I really screw this up! I know it doesn't matter, but I find it comical because these are MY rules for myself, it's not even as if someone else is making the rules for me!

Well, anyway, I cleaned the drain.

Since the correct item for that last roll would have been 16, which is dishes, and I really want to get started on those, I'm going to do it next.

Hi, everyone, sorry I'm late. I've been asleep. Now to come up with a short list--i can't do much as far as lifting, etc., because of the colonoscopy, but I'm working on smaller things.

1. slide coleus cuttings outside
2. move second, smaller coleus outside
3. hang up two items of clothing from top of dryer
4. put away three other items from top of dryer
5. straighten blanket over sofa
6. deflate hole-y airbed and toss

OK, first roll--2.
Oops, I rolled in chat and thought two was three. I rolled it three times, so have hung up six items of clothing from top of dryer
