I'm seriously apathetic today - lots to be done so I'm trying this to get me out of the rut. It would be lovely if anyone else wanted to play 1) wash up 2) change cat litter tray 3) wash back bedroom floor 4) water plants 5) 15 mins tidying sitting room 6) put wash on 5 it is (the one I hoped it wouldn't be!) Off I go.....

Hi, Cat's Mother.. I'll play with you. I just posted my list on Listzilla but I will post it here too. By the way, I use the dice at Random.Org but it won't load for me today....so had to use real dice...which is no problem, since I collect them and probably have four or five jars full of them. Here's the list. 2. Living room 3. Outside 4. Pile of junk 5. New pile of junk 6. Dishes 7. Bedroom ....Kitchen 8. Dining room 9. Porch 10. Pantry 11. Kitchen 12. Watergarden My first roll was 7...bedroom and I have swept the bedroom. Next roll is 10, Pantry and I am going to go put away groceries that I got yesterday. I need a shelf brought here from the other house...so hopeful, will get that done today. I can't tell you how long I have put it off because I don't want to go over there. Next roll is 6... dishes. Next roll is 8....dining room Next is 7, bedroom again, but I am changing it to kitchen. ****** Got the shelf, cleaned, repaired and put my canned and bagged foods on it. Took out the trash Next roll is 6....dishes again. That's okay....I have a ton of dishes to wash, plus I brought an electric fry pan over from the other house when we went and got the shelf....so will scrub that and do a few more dishes that are scattered hither, thither and yon!!!

Wall of woe....I can relate!! Mine is more like "wall-to-wall woe" though. Thanks for the new dice roller site. Looks like you are getting off to a good start this morning. . I got the dishes done...but there are always more. Next I rolled 8....dining room, but my husband just came in and we are going to the other house to get the shelf for the pantry. Oooh, Lord. I dread that.

Went to the other house and got the shelf....washed it. There was a bad board on top, so my husband is replacing it. I found a piece of decorative iron that I can put across that to dress it up a little. A friend of mine was going to throw it away because of the broken board on top, but I needed a place to store my food stuff, so she gave it to me. I am going to use it in the pantry for now, but eventually, I think it will make a nice cookbook bookcase. It needs a coat of paint, but don't know what I have in the way of paint here right now. That other house.... I don't know if I should start adding that to my list or finish this one before starting over there. I guess if I just worked 30 min. a day over there, I could make a difference. I worked on it last winter and got a lot done...but there is still a ton of stuff to be dealt with. I did a little bit in the dining room....found more stuff to wash....and my next roll is 7 bedroom again, but except for making the bed, I don't have much to do in there, so I think I will change that to kitchen and go work in there instead.

Hi, TheCatsMother and ellen! TCM, I'm joining you in the apathy--had an over-medicated night of nightmares and bad sleep and have just now had my morning coffee. Ellen, good for you for the cookbook bookcase you are working on. That sounds nice. I'm going to give the dice game a try today and try to get some things dones. 1. Measure and cut a piece of shelf paper for one of the kitchen cabinets 2. Wash the dishes 3. Sort laundry 4. Spend 10 minutes on hall closet 5. Spend 10 minutes in bedroom 6. check email First roll: 1--measure and cut a piece of shelf paper for one of the kitchen cabinets--bleh--ok, this needs to be done.

Hi Seashell, sorry to hear you had a bad night how's your list going? Ellen, the shelf will be lovely. I think 30 minutes a day at the other house is a good idea, if it's not too far away. Do you have a deadline for getting stuff out of there? Here's my update. I'm pretty much calling it a day on dice now... need to eat, wash up and see to the cats. 1) wash up2) change cat litter tray tidy and dust dressing table 3) wash back bedroom floor 4) water plants wash kitchen cabinet doors5) 15 mins tidying sitting room 15 mins on wall of woe (at the bottom of which a lot of stuff lurks)6) put wash on hang up clothes

No, the house is here on the same property. So I don't have a deadline. You're right....I ought to start spending 30 min. a day in there. At least I will be seeing some progress. I think I will start adding it to my list.
Thanks for playing today. I am having to sort of push myself now. I am getting tired and my feet hurt. When my feet hurt, my legs start to hurt. Plus, when I sit down to cool off, I feel like I am stiff. I tell you...getting old is the pits!!

Well, I did measure and cut a piece of shelf paper, then realized that I meant to give the cabinet another coat of paint. I ended up painting three more cabinets, then ate lunch and walked the dogs. I'm going to try to get back to it now. Second roll: 2 wash the dishes. That won't take too long.

I hope you have a good rest of the day, TCM and ellen. And I hope your feet feel better, ellen.
Well, there were more dishes than remembered, so I ended up emptying the dishwasher and reloading and running it, rather than washing them by hand.
Next roll: 6--check email. Off I go!
Checked email--nothing urgent.
Next roll: 4--spend ten minutes on hall closet--going to give that a try, though I'm a little tired for a large project.

I'm winding down too. I did more dishes. I have some outside stuff to do but will wait until I go out in a couple of hours to do my chores. I am going to put my feet up for awhile. Thanks for playing with us, Seashell. I am going to re-vamp my list making to include the other house...and the other yard. I have got a lot of this house to maintenance....as long as I keep up with it, so need to start working on other "troublesome" spots. (That is putting it mildly. ) That other house hasn't been lived in for about 3 years and it is ! But, will start that tomorrow...early. Too tired to do much more today.

I got rid of some unneeded stuff that was under my work table, which will make room for more books! (My summer goal wasn't to get rid of all my books, just to get rid of enough so that all of them could be stored so that they don't block access to anything! I also fed my cats their afternoon snack. Next roll: 7, chop/grate some veggies Diane
