Everyone:
Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes y'all sent me!  My birthday was busy. I had a Coumadin check in the morning. Now they ask me for my date of birth before they do the finger stick. I just said, "TODAY!" The nurse laughed & wished me a Happy Birthday. Then I hung out at the Heart Center's Library & Resource Center to wait for my Access Express ride. The volunteers there have known me for years, as I go in there every week for free coffee. They gave me a large macadamia cookie for a birthday present!  In the evening I had worship team practice. The whole group signed a birthday card for me. Then some of us went to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate. We had SO much fun! The food was good (I had a Honey BBQ chicken salad, so I stuck to my diet!) & we talked & laughed! I laughed so hard my sides literally ached! I hadn't laughed like that in years! I didn't get home until 12:30 AM. I had an awesome birthday!
I haven't posted for a while here, either, for several reasons: computer acting contrary, been busy or sick, doctor appointments. I'm doing fine. I'm dealing with a sinus infection right now & the timing isn't good -- I'm singing special music in both services on Mother's Day! I'm feeling better & my voice is OK. Hopefully my daughter will be there in the 2nd service to hear me sing! She's doing well, too! She just got a new job working at a local TV station as the traffic assistant arranging the commercials. It pays well & right now to just HAVE a job is a blessing. Plus where I live is on her way to work, so she'll pop over for coffee once or twice a week & chat for 30 minutes.
I'm working on more organization stuff around the homestead. Nothing major, just stuff to make things easier for me. Sometimes it looks like my home is a construction zone, but when I'm done, it will be SO MUCH EASIER to maintain! I'm still having issues with home aides. The one I've had for 3 months quit two weeks ago. While I was away at my cancer camp, she told her supervisor her "allergies" to my cat are worse & she quit her job. I don't get that -- she was around Angel for 3 months & there were NO problems at all with allergies. I'm suspecting the high allergy levels outside we've been having lately aggravated her allergies & she saw that as as excuse to quit. She'd do her work but just didn't seem (to me) like she really wanted to be there. I get my replacement next Monday after a week of fill-ins. Some knew what to do, some were totally clueless & I had to show them what to do. 
Angel is fine, too! She'll turn 9 on July 3rd!  The vet had to put her on a diet because she gained a pound last year & the year before. So I cut back her daily portion & play "Laser Pointer" with her every day. She's lost 1/2 a pound since January. I only wish it was that easy for ME to lose weight! LOL! 
So we're all doing fine here. Again, thank you all for my birthday wishes & greetings! I'll be back soon when things around the homestead calm down!
