The good news is, I finished the vacuuming, even though I really didn't feel like it! (Thank you Chris, for the challenge.) The bad news--sometimes I don't think the various parts of my brain communicate with each other. When I saw that I had to leave in a hour for my last dog walk, I thought, well, I'd better finish that vacuuming--and then I realized that when I finished the first part, KNOWING that I wanted to do the second part, I unplugged the vacuum, wound the cord up and put it in the other room where I store it. Totally subconsciously. I guess the additional good news is that I subconsciously put something away!! Now I just have to do it at the right time. (Should I admit that this time, now that I'm really done, the vacuum is still sitting in the living room?) Diane

I have now put the vacuum away. I have an early walk tomorrow, I should be home before 9 though, with just enough time to make my morning list before the forum changeover happens--I hope I (and everyone) can log in later with no problems. I don't want to suffer SOS withdrawal! Diane

Well, I did okay today, did some bookwork, decluttering and decided to do a load of laundry. Tomorrow I visit my sister, then have a dog walk when I get home so won't sign in until later. I hope the checkboxes thing can be straightened out, I've gotten so used to them!

I bet someone will be able to fix it!!!!

Well, I had a great visit with my sister, she's doing better, her walking is much improved and she can go up and down stairs to do her own laundry now. She also has gone out to the store a few times by herself, although she's still afraid to go out alone if there's even a tiny bit of snow or ice out there, she's afraid of falling. We did some shopping, did some chores at home and I took her dog for a nice long walk.
I keep thinking "tomorrow I'll catch up with everything" and it's just not happening. I've been thinking a lot about why it takes me so long to do stuff--and how I procrastinate--I always feel like I'm right on the edge of catching up with everything--but when I have a free afternoon and could get a lot of work done, I'm still kind of thinking--"yeah, by tomorrow I should be able to get a lot done....." I'm trying to just sit and think about what I'm feeling at that time--what is making me say it'll happen a little later instead of right now???
Tomorrow I have 3 walks, with a good long afternoon in between. I might have to go to the post office though, that always tires me out because it's a long walk. We'll see if I can actually get a decent amount done tomorrow!

I will try making a list and just crossing off as I go, I'll see if that works for me.
I may take a nap this afternoon, I feel like I never did catch up on sleep after the time change although it was only an hour and shouldn't really affect me. It's getting harder and harder to wake up, even though I'm trying to go to bed a little earlier each night.
But by tonight I want to be back to my "maintain" list, even if only some of the rooms can be crossed off.

Okay, I'm going to try something here--this is a duplicate of my 3/13 post but I'm going to try changing the color for done items instead of crossing them out, and I'll see which one I like better! Well, I don't really like either of my new list attempts, but I'll try them again. Tomorrow I'm getting a ride shopping and out to lunch with a friend, so will not be around until late afternoon. I did get several rooms back to my "cluttered maintenance" (I keep trying to think of a better name for it).

I hope your shopping and lunch today is great!!!

Thanks Chris, I'm home now but I'm pretty sure I have to do one dog walk and the client isn't home. So again I have to wait, but I'm going to make sure I don't waste time, I'm going to work on getting my kitchen back to "my" maintenance (maybe I should call it "good enough maintenance"? It means I'm back to where I was at the best point in my journey to completely finished. How about "plateau maintenance"?) and put away the stuff (mainly cat food) that I bought today.
