Well, with Chris gone on her well-deserved visit to her parents, I decided to borrow (steal?) her idea to just make my own thread for my lists for now. Since Andrea and I were the only other people using Accountability Partners, and both of us also post on Saffron's thread, I thought it was okay to stop using AP for a while.
The advantage to having an ongoing thread is not having to start it new each morning, if not many people are using it. I know it only takes a couple of minutes to start the thread, but some mornings I have to push myself to get started and I'm going to try to post every day even on days when I don't get much done. This will prevent the days when I think "oh, I don't have time to start the thread today so I'll have to wait to post until later......"
I'm so far back in my cleaning list that I'm now 12 days behind, so I have to decide if I try to catch up or pick up where I should be. I'll have to figure out which is more helpful to the point of the list, which was to make a daily habit of cleaning. Is it better to make myself catch up so I'm less likely to slack off again later? Or better to start up again on the job for the 16th of the month so I'm more likely to consider the cleaning part of my list doable?
I will continue to do bat work on Saffron's list, and hope desperately for fellow players of the dice game!! (There's just something fun about throwing those virtual dice, I guess!)

Good morning, Diane! Good luck on your daily list! One day I will go over and do the dice game. I'll see if it works for me.
How's the weather? We're having a good week---80's with a breeze. It's very tolerable, but it will get hotter over the next weekend. I've got the swamp cooler and fan ready to go for those really hot days.

Hello Saffron, thank you for stopping by! It's funny that you say that 80's are tolerable, and for me, it's horrible! We are expecting upper 80's later in the week and I'm already dreading it. I got home from my dog walk and shopping to find that...MY INTERNET WAS OUT AGAIN!   It's getting to be the norm, so I guess I'm going to have to figure out a way to schedule a service call. I wouldn't mind if it went out for 20 minutes or so (the way it used to happen years ago when the service was consistently bad) but it goes out for at least 4 hours and up to 8 at a time. Maybe I'll be over with some flying bats later, provided I stay connected this evening! Diane |

Internet out again from about 9 this morning, just came back from some walks and it's back up. I checked the site when I woke up this morning but by the time I came back to post I couldn't. I need to post here immediately when I get online the first time! Howdy Saffron! I'm doing okay except for my evil internet going in and out, and the temperature being 91 degrees! We're expecting a thunderstorm tonight that is supposed to drop the temp 20 degrees, it had better get here soon.

I can't believe how spacy I am, I made today's list last night, so I'd remember what I wanted to put on it and because I had an early walk this morning. Turns out my internet was out again this morning when I woke up, so I thought, wasn't I smart to make that list last night.
When internet finally came back I came on here and--no list! I must have previewed it and never clicked post. DUH!

I'm not going to accomplish anything today except the dining room, but that's okay, because I've got a TON done in there this afternoon. I would say 2/3 of it is the way I want it to be, it's still my main book storage room but everything is in labeled boxes, I know what I have, and I have the boxes where I want them to be. I filled up another shopping cart full of books to take to the resale shop. AND, I put the air conditioner in the window. I still have to seal up the edges (hopefully this year I'll find something that looks better than the rags I used last year  ) but it's ready to turn on when it gets unbearably hot. I still have to clean off the DR table (which is now full after catching the odds and ends from the rest of the room). Also under the table are a couple of boxes of books that exploded, so they'll need some work.  Diane |
