Hi Diane your book clarity sounds great -- I know you will enjoy re-arranging your books and spaces to match your new vision of how you want it to be. Oh, and Christmas in July sounds so awesome!!! My favorite Christmas movie is The Christmas Card with John Newton and Alice Evans. I think I will watch it today! I think it's a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation. Have a great day and I am so glad to hear things are going good for you!!!!

Perfect timing today, during the last 10 minutes of my 11:00 walk the sky started clouding over, and 10 minutes after I got home it started raining. It's wonderful, we need the rain so badly.
It's very humid today--the last few days have been around 90 but low humidity, so bearable. Today it felt very bad outside. I don't think the rain will cool anything off.
I have 3 more visits tonight, I'm doing a walk a little later than usual since it was in the same neighborhood as my 6:00 walk, and it's a old foster dog with prostrate trouble so he needs to be let outside every few hours! I'm trying to get as much done this afternoon as possible since I won't be home til close to 8:00.
Working on my book project, my aim for the next few days is to figure out exactly what I have in all the boxes and sort into the 3 or 4 categories so I know what I can get rid of.

Diane, you're welcome to some of our rain, I'd send some over if I could Books make their way so effortlessly into our homes... and are so difficult to get rid of! Nearly all the downstairs books I want to keep now fit into my two bookshelves, I go through them every few weeks to see if I feel able to let any more go. There's another massive nest of them in the bedroom I'm currently clearing. It's lovely that you are taking all those dogs for walks

Hi CM, thanks for stopping by! Yes, books are my huge challenge. The number of them I have/had is truly staggering. All I can do is keep on working on them!

So I came back here to update my list only to realize that I forgot to post one this morning. I woke up and immediately started book sorting, didn't even take my shower until about 10am. I've been working on and off on books (mostly on) for the entire day, I had one cat care visit and stop at the store. I'm going to make my list for tomorrow so I don't forget to post it! Diane

I thought today would be fine, I only had one walk scheduled for early afternoon, so I went to volunteer work. On the way home I got another call for a walk right after the first one, so by the time I finished both of them, my foot is really hurting.
I'm really worried about this foot, it's not getting any better, and I end up limping when I do more than one walk in a row. And it's HOT again, mid-90s today and tomorrow and 100 predicted for Tuesday, with high humidity.
So I just spent a half hour doing nothing but reading online and sitting in front of the fan. I now have to become productive!

Hi seashell! I had a pretty good day, worked both on books and on other stuff. I listened to one of my favorite Christmas albums, by Chris Isaak. What a beautiful voice that man has! I'm going to start a Christmas book tonight, probably Crimson Snow, which is part of a cozy mystery series by Jeanne M. Dams. I sometimes watch a holiday movie on this day too, but my videotapes are not organized enough right now for me to find something I would like to watch, so I'll see if I can find something over the next week or two. The important thing is that we're half way through the summer as of tonight--over the hump and on the way to the end of the heat! And what a summer it's been--started with 80 degree temps three months earlier than usual, and it hasn't really let up since. I'll be extra special glad to see the end of this one! Picturing the snow conjured up by these Christmas songs has really helped! Diane

I came home after my noon dog walk and found my internet out. It was doing really well there for several weeks, didn't go out at all, now in the last week this is the third outage. They're shorter than they were a month ago though, then, once it went out it was out for at least 5 hours. This time it was 2 hours.
I woke up and started getting ready to go to the store but realized it was Monday so I couldn't go! The bottled water I buy (a gallon bottle) is very popular, and they always sell out over the weekend. They never restock until Tuesday, which I know very well from all the times I tried to get it on Sunday night or Monday. So I have to wait until tomorrow morning to go, it should be stocked then. This not going to my sister's is throwing off my mental schedule, I can't remember what day it is.
Today is really hot and muggy, tomorrow is supposed to exceed 100 degrees, with heat indexes at 110. Luckily, Tuesday night we get rain and cooler temps for at least a few days. So, I can tolerate two days of this, much better than the two weeks we had last time. I'm getting very spoiled with the air conditioning though, it's such a pleasure to have it not get higher than 80 degrees in here. I should be getting an electric bill soon, and I'll be afraid to open it.
I'm working on books but haven't started the series ones yet. I'm trying to deal with the "problem" ones, ones I can't decide on, or need to research further. Otherwise I end up with little stacks of books around that need something still done to them, and after a day or so I forget what they need done, then I have to start all over again!
The discard stack is steadily growing.

I'm finally able to post today, I've been up since 5:00am and my internet was out the entire day until about 15 mintues ago--looks like the pattern is starting again. I'm going to have to figure out how to get them out here--I don't mind 15 minute outages or even the 2 hours from yesterday, but 8 hours at a time is ridiculous.
Very, very hot out, I'm so grateful for my air conditioner. It makes it bearable in here, even when I run it at 78 degrees. Luckily I don't have to go out anymore today.
