It is too soon for me to write a tribute; I cannot see through my tears.
I miss you so much, Margaret...

I am so crappy with words... I wish I knew what to say. All I know to do is send out warm comforting vibes to Margaret's family and friends. She contributed great things to our world here, ,she will be missed.

Thank you Lioness for sharing this very sad news. I was so happy when Margaret appeared here after a long absence. She was indeed a very special lady, and she will be greatly missed. I read her blog when I was able to, but it was so emotionally difficult for me to do so. I know that she worried about her young sons and her husband. I pray that God watches over them.

Margaret was the first person to inspire me when I joined Squalor Survivors in 2006.
She always spoke of taking action and not whining.
It was HARD to hear sometimes.
But there was a sincerity and warmth when she said it.
She wasn't being judgmental.
She was being REAL.
I respected that.
I thought, when I grow up, I want to be like Margaret!

My deepest condolences to (real name here)'s family and friends -- real life *and* on-line.
I was particularly struck by the insight, acceptance, and honesty of her blog about her illness.
The Greek philosopher Heraclitis said "the only thing constant is change." Although (real name here) has died, we who have known her have been blessed by the change her love and kindness brought to our lives. Thank you (real name here).
Family members and friends in real life know that those of us in her virtual community are holding you all in our hearts and prayers as you celebrate the life of one courageous, wonderful woman whose life touched ours.

We will miss you! What an inspiration, totally dignified in taking care of her family to the very end. I hope I can act as gracefully, when my time arrives.

Thank you to everyone who has replied.
If you haven't replied yet, I'm bumping this forward so that we can get as many memories to the family as possible.

When I think of Margaret I remember in particular some posts she wrote on the old board about mindfulness. I think that was a particular focus of hers for a while there. It was simple but it did make a difference for me.
