We all spent last night crying. Things are going to be upset around here for a while. Hearts are breaking. She was such a wonderful dog. So sorry, Di. Just take care of yourselves today, and not worry about getting stuff done. Hugs to all...

Took the kids minds off Mags for a little while by getting them to build their own pizza. They are getting showers now and I am debating on whether or not to take them on a planned outing. This afternoon there is a tour of a cemetery sponsored by the library. It is a very old one that dates back to the Yellow Fever epidemic and most of the graves are nameless due to age and elements but it's a lovely, slightly spooky place, and I'm sure that the tour will be great. It's supposed to include "ghost stories" I will probably get them to go, I just hope that it doesn't hit too close to home right now. It should be delightfully eerie. We missed the movie this week and we missed kid's day downtown, but we can do something there next week. I love that the libraries have so much for kids to do. There is an art club that I think they will enjoy too. I still need to help Kiddo finish her birdhouse, she wants flowers painted on it so I sketched a tulip bunch on the side and a dragonfly on the roof. I need to help her paint it. Is it horrible of me to wish that the "wait" was over? I don't want to lose Mags but seeing her like this is breaking my heart. I wish she would just go to sleep and not wake up. I can't stand seeing her this way. I'm about to start crying again.

Thanks. I'm so glad so many here understand the bond we have with our furbabies. Right now I am just trying to focus on the joy she brought to us. I think that if she makes it through the night that my son is going to come get her and take her to the vet. It's going to be a long difficult weekend.... The BF and R broke up today as well. I'm trying to keep the kids a bit insulated from the tension. Today I bought them wooden craft kits, one pirate ship and one airplane to build and paint. I promised to sit down with them tonight and start them.
We went to the cemetery tour, it turned out to be almost a history lesson of the early days of our city. I was so proud of the kids because they listened intently and asked very good questions. I love taking them places like that because they have such varied interests and love learning. We learned about the yellow fever epidemics and the changing attitudes toward death and how the attitudes were reflected in the monuments. I didn't know that a draped broken column indicated that the line ended with the death of the individual. Also an obelisk with a pointed top indicates that the line continues but a flat top indicates the end of the line. I like it when I can learn along with the kids.
Tonight for dinner the kids are making individual pizzas. They love making those. I'm trying to think of all the fun things I possibly can for them to do for the next few days. Sunday I am taking them to a restored historic theatre to see Gone With the Wind on the big screen, and Saturday they are going to a birthday party. My grandson is going to go home for a days to "visit' his mom and little brother. The situation there is heartbreaking too. I may just go to bed and cry for a bit. I'm getting a bit weary of being the "strong one" around here.

Awww Thanks Saffron. You do need to schedule a day for yourself you have been very busy over the last 2 weeks with VBS, Grandchildren and trip to coast. Make sure to schedule some Saffron Time. Cando -- On the home front for summer I just plan on working my butt off to get as much as possible to 0 degrees. DS and DD still have many activities through the summer so I will be a taxi mom. We will take a small trip or two but not plans in place right now. DH is trying to get his Wheat picked and Milo planted which will take until the 1st of July. I am just looking forward to being at home with my family. on scheduling Energy Efficiency test & repairs. Di Dreaming -- Still thinking about and praying for your family.

Over slept this am. I went to a friends house for dinner last night and she fixed some awesome Mango Martinies. They were yummy and last night I did not have any trouble getting to sleep. DS and I had to rush out of the house to get him and a friend to Basketball Camp on time in the rush I forgot to pack him lunch so I have to go back over to town and take him so lunch. I was looking for another long day at home with out interruptions. Sigh. DD will be coming home tonight so I will be spending the night washing her clothes and getting her packed up to leave for another week on Saturday. She and her BFF are going to go and stay a week with BFFs aunt. She is taken them to the One Direction concert and has many other activities played from them, lots of cultural stuff, picnic in the park with a symphonie, painting class at a art gallery so glad DD will be getting this experience. DS has another camp next week only 3 days 2 hours a day. Keeping it low key for DS right now as he has practice every night for All Stars. I am going to try and fit in some hitting lessons and pitching lesson for him next week. DS and I have had some good bonding time with week. Gee this was going to be my post for my daily stuff but think I will have to make another post. Good Luck and have a great day everyone
