Saffron -- Glad you made it there & back. Thanks for staying in touch with us. I love iced coffee, but rarely have it these days.

SM -- Sorry to hear about the pain you are having and your DMom having to go to the ER. It is scary when there are chest pains.

Di -- looks like you are busy with young children and all the rest that comes with raising them. I like reading your posts. May I suggest a night time nature walk or just after sun goes down -- since I understand about those A/C lovin' kids...
Swimming is great & wears them out!!!! I used to love to take them swimming... So, I'm a thumbs up on that. Oh, and you are doing great with the tons you are tossing!!!

Andrea -- I'm glad doctors are finding out things. Hope the increase in iron will help you. You continue to amaze me with all that you do. Hope your DS is well, soon.

Diane -- Hope you get lots done in Dice Game, today. I won't be able to play today.

About Puppy: She is very smart and LOVES to "help me". I wish that I knew how to train her. She is not the warmest most friendly dog as far as having her trained to help others. I would love to try taking her to a nursing home but I think she will just get scared. She is a 62 pound dog. She especially likes to hand me things from the dryer and help unload it and will bring me socks whenever she finds one on the floor. She always is expecting a food reward and that would not be a problem, but I can't feed her anything and everything or she will get sick (tummy issues).

I love her "helping" me, but it really slows me down if I am in a hurry to get things unloaded from the dryer as she expects the treats ... so I am trying to get her to finish before she gets the treat. Also, sometimes the clothes do touch my too dirty floor so are not quite as clean... but she does LOVE it and I am proud of my sweet Puppy.

Today we went to the fire museum and the police museum. I'm trying not to let young brains rot over the summer. This morning before leaving the kids helped me make the beds, sweep and mop the downstairs floors, vacuum rugs, clean the kitchen, put on bread to bake for dinner, put away laundry, etc… each kid worked about an hour and the downstairs looks great. They were actually arguing over who was getting to mop.

Roadrunner, Glad to hear DD had excessive wax only, and not swimmer's ear. Sending you good vibes for a powerful ending to the school year. on the 10 pound loss!!!

Clutterbuggles, How's the tooth issue? Did you say you have an appt for Thursday? Please don't compare youself with anyone else. You are a special and unique one-of-a kind individual.

Andrea, I hope both you and your DYoungerSon are feeling better. Good goin' on getting the new tires and allignment. As NH and I were pulling away from the curb, her son said I had/have a nail in the right front tire. I said, "forget it, I have towing and a spare." I will get that checked...

Forgot to report that we went to the Cathedral. It is a beautiful historical building… what the kids loved was going down into the crypt. I loved it when they told their parents, "Nana took us to a CRYPT today. It was awesome! "

Tonight we had an unexpected dinner guest.... it's a good thing we cleaned up this morning.

Maybe later I will take them to a Burial Mound

I am pleased with everything I was able to accomplish yesterday and am seriously planning to finish getting my floor cleaned and start going thru my clothes. I also need to try to get laundry caught back up.

Andrea it sounds like today is off to a good start. That always makes the rest of the day go smoother. WTG on all you've accomplished.

Road Runner, I didn't acknowledge your weight loss.... THAT'S AWESOME!!!!! WTG!!!! I'm so proud of you. Excessive weight is such a burden on us (pun intended) I just wish it wasn't such a struggle to drop it.

This morning I got up, made 2 beds, tossed a lot of throws in the wash because they smelled "doggy" I cleaned the kitchen before bed last night so I don't have to face that. I am going to go unload the dishwasher and pack a picnic lunch and then wake up kids... I will have them make their own beds and gather up all other laundry and stray dishes and I will load DW and fold a load of clothes before heading out for the day. There is a kid's day in the square downtown and I think we'll go there and then eat lunch on the way home at a park on the bay. I wish I had a decent camera. I have missed so many great photos this summer. At least everyone seems to be having fun, even if I do make them work a bit too. It's going to be a long summer..... The kids are all fine with me but when parents get home at night things fall apart and they get crazy and out of control playing one adult against the other. They managed to start a huge fight last night when one sprayed another in the face with FLEA SPRAY!! Why are kids such idiots at times?

I was idly thinking of stopping by the crypt on the way home AND DROPPING THEM OFF!!!

1 bad attitude disposed of earlier today (recorded in purge-a-thon.) While I was struggling to get out of car in handicapped zone, get my basket, round up the girls, etc., a woman kept honking at me to move my body, like I was some kind of farm animal that had gotten out of the fence. I had a strong urge to "slap" her in the store, but decided that wasn't in line with my core values. I threw her way off-guard when I practically fell over myself apologizing for lingering in her way. (probably insincerely--ha) It took her breath away, really. Then she patted me on the arm and said, "Oh, that's okay," and started babbling about the pound of cherries she ate two days ago, and that she needed more. Whatever. When the produce guy asked me how my day was going, he said my answer didn't sound very good, so I told him my little story. He was very sympathetic and reached out for me like he was going to hug me, but stopped short. Aie! He was "easy on the eyes." I made sure to note his name. Shame on me. ha ha

My granddtrs fight so much I want to scream. Today went fairly well after we got goin'. I get stressed out when I have them all day in the summer. Fortunately, it's only 4-5 days per month. I do love them, but I don't like that constant fighting.
