Andrea, It really sounds like you need some down time. Do your parents know you are not well? How about your friends that you have helped out? I hope you get to relax today.
Saffron, Sorry you weren't well yesterday & that the purchases have to go back. I hate dealing with returns. 107 degrees is terrible! You sure you can't come stay here a while? I have air conditioning and have a bedroom you can stay in until August 6th. (My DD will likely be coming to visit for a week, then). It is hot here, but not 107 degrees (at least not yet as far as I know...)
RR -- You sound full of energy, today! Congrats on the weight loss!
DiDreaming -- I know you are doing lots of work, too, and have difficulties with the kids. But, I still think it would be fun to be doing some of those things you are doing... I miss those kinds of days with my kids.
SM -- Hope your day is lovely!

I stopped by Good Will and got a new dress for Kiddo and saw one that would fit BFs 7 year old so I picked it up. This Little girl has shown NO interest in looking pretty but surpringly she loved the dress and WANTS to wear it. We are going home after the movie and do her up and go get a portrait made for daddy. I was so shocked at her reaction and so pleased. Two weeks ago she wouuld not have come to me for help. WHEEEEE!!

Good Afternoon, everyone! Sleepymom, are you getting the new dishwasher installed today? I hope things go smoothly for you. Di, It sounds like a fun day you have planned. That's neat that Kiddo responded so well to you and is interested in dressing up for the photo. Roadrunner, You are really knocking out your list today! Congrats on your continuing weight loss. I am trying to make better choices day by day. Andrea, I hope you will be able to get someone to help you. We would all come over to help if we could... CanDo, Thanks for the invitation, but I am going to stay in my little house today and not venture out. I've got the cooler on, and I just turned on the living room fan. I'm drinking my 8 glasses of water today, so that will help. Guess I'll go putter and get something done...

Saffron -- thank you! and you did good on papers... I have tons of todo lists that I'll need to get rid of, too.
DiDreaming -- Awesome about dress! Can't wait to hear more about that...
Andrea -- I'm glad you got some rest, but still sounds like you need a lot more of it!
RR -- Amazing work!
Water:
thyroid med *Put 2 big bags out for National Federation of the Blind early this morning... I slipped and fell totally down when I did this. I expect that I'll be pretty sore from that fall as I hit hard. Stepped down and didn't see the black small Plano phone book on top of my black welcome mat and it was very slick (like ice)so slipped!
Will be getting a new stove/oven. Two burners no longer working, 1 burner not working well, timer is broken, ready light for oven is broken and it is NOT a self-cleaning oven! Don't you think it is past time for it to be replaced? Funny thing was, is that when my DH said -- Looks like you are getting a new one -- I said ... "Are you sure that you can't just order in parts & fix it?" You see, I have really liked this stove/oven except for it NOT being a self-cleaning type. Nothing fancy but worked well until a couple years ago... Most people that I know in person would not have kept it as long as me and would have wanted a new one. I don't know why it is hard for me to accept change...
*made my bed *Will shred that paper with the bra info. from yesterday's clearing from dresser. * Just ordered more & boy! am I glad that I found that paper! They are being discontinued. Hard to get them and very few sizes/colors left. Even though I don't really need them yet, I am going to have them on-hand for when I do. The last time I went bra shopping it was a nightmare experience (thought I'd try out newer brands & styles)... will put that off as long as I can! Men, be glad that you don't have to shop or wear those things!!! Spent 4 minutes on dresser while heating up lunch in the microwave. *Pair of old sunglasses - tossed *Packet of pictures put in Memory Box -- Did not even look at them as they've been there for years.
Papers are much more difficult! It is like going down Memory Lane. A couple of these were from when my kids were in elementary school -- they're college students now! One paper had notes from when I used to make them awards at home for our weekly Family Meetings. One of the things we used to do at the end was award presentations. I hand-made them with construction paper, markers & stickers. So there were notes on this sheet for each child -- like "Merit Award Winner at School", "Earned Purple Belt in Karate", "Best Patio Picker Uppers" (some were shared awards), "Best helper at going thru Dad's junk", etc. I would hang these awards on their bedroom & closet doors (the shared awards went on other house doors).
*Anyway, 12 papers put in recycle bag. *took calcium pill & bp med spent 1 hour on my dresser and I am almost done with it!!! I can't believe that I let it go for so long! It is so embarrassing! The oldest things that I found was unopened mail & other stuff from 2000! Yikes! Credit card statement, etc. Where the heck have I been? What is wrong with me?! I just can't believe that it has been that long. *4 papers to be shred *Tossed 12 things including: a folder, buttons, stickers, planner from 2000, 3 never been used Priority Mail envelopes. *put 5 receipts in tax boxes *Put the following in giveaway bag: 3 kid's necklaces, yellow smile face stressball, rhinestones, and brand new in original never been opened packaging mouthguards... like used in Tae Kwan Do, Pokemon cards & stuff... (was going to send to one of my brother's to try to sell on-line, but realized he hasn't done what I already gave him months ago & he just told me that lots of people give him stuff to sell and as a result he has so much stuff in his house). 60 papers/receipts/folder/magazine into recycle bag *8 papers into Memories box *put 3 greeting cards where they go *kept an emery board
Having trouble figuring out what to do with something interesting that really brought back memories... both good & bad. Very personal. It is something that my DD and I started doing at some point when she was 7 years old. I bought a composition notebook (may have let her pick it out, can't remember -- it had a pretty picture of a unicorn on the front of it & she loved unicorns), anyway... inside it, I wrote a short, printed hand-written letter to her & put it in her room. She wrote a little note back to me & put it in my room. We did this off & on over the years until the last note from her to me at age 16. It was soo touching & watching the hand-writing improve, her spelling improve, her writing mature -- just brought tears to my eyes. But, the last 3 entries were troublesome... Both her & myself. Which is why I did not respond to that last letter immediately & then it got stuck under some stuff...
So, now I am left wondering what to do with it. At the end... I don't know what she even did or said that made me so angry that I did not want to talk to her or even read the journal at the time she handed it to me. This was after writing in it when she was younger that I would always be there for her to talk to me, etc. I feel like a horrible Mom and human being when I read that last letter from her. There is also a letter from her that is not "right" at all earlier ... and I don't think she wants to remember about that time in her life. I'm tempted to tear out both the bad parts and send it the notebook to her. But, not sure... I think years ago, she tore out a couple bad parts... but I'm not sure.
I mean, the idea of what I did... with this journal was fantastic but then I blew it at the end. I'm sure we talked about and got past that rough time, but I didn't do the journal back to her. I'm also thinking maybe just write the letter & mail it to her, without tearing out anything. And, maybe we'll continue sending it back & forth. Or will that just be something extra for her to do? And, maybe it will bring back those bad memories for her & who needs that, huh?
Forgot to mention that I had been kinda eyeing that notebook ... knowing I would have to deal with it. Knowing that it started out so wonderful & that there was something that she would NOT want to remember & another thing that I would NOT want to remember... So, I opened it and read it with trepidation. I know she has not forgotten this notebook, either.
I could talk to her & let her know that I found it and see what she thinks....
What do y'all think? She is living away from home, a Junior in college clear across the country from me. She will be coming home to visit for a week the beginning of August.
I just feel so sad and depressed now....
On a good note, my dresser is looking soo much better. You can actually see it now. It is very dusty & I do swipe stuff a little as I always do when I declutter. So crazy that I left all this stuff on there & for so very long!!!
Thanks for being here for me.
showered2shoes -- feel better, now. Water has a cleansing effect... *went thru today's mail *2 coupons where they go, 1 magazine to DS *4 papers into recycle bag *2 bills into Office in a Bag fed Puppy *walked Puppy

Thanks all for the kudos so blessed to be apart of this community. Cando -- Congrats on getting new stove. When I read your description of the current state of your current stove I thought you where talking about mine. I am in dire need of a new stove maybe one day. Di Dreaming -- DS DD and I also went to Good Will and Thrift Stores yesterday. DD scored some really nice shorts and capris for the start of school . 10.96 for 5 pairs. Sounds like you made a good score for BF's DD. Saffron -- WTG eating your veggies. Butter Bean Salde sounds yummy is it a Weight Watchers recipe? Andrea -- Please continue to get plenty of rest. I understand the frustrations of garage clutter that just hanges around (and in my case it has been growing) At the house of roadrunner we will be having a mini yard sale this weekend and next weekend. Good Luck with your Tag Sale. Hi sleepymom Have a great day everyone.

Well, I guess it's time to get my eyes checked. So, why didn't anyone correct me when I kept writing "Vagabondmom" instead of "Vagabondmoon?" LOL. So sorry about that. Saffron, I`ve been reading it the same way, sorry VBM! Andrea, hope you can continue to get the rest you need! Cando, good luck finding a new stove you`ll enjoy just much, with self-cleaning too . I dislike my stove, but can`t justify replacing because it does work well, no self cleaning here either. Guess I wasn`t clear, the dishwasher delivery/installation is NEXT Thurs., so I have to continue washing up myself. DS is washing his own dishes, because he hates dishwashing as much as I do & doesn`t want to have to take a turn doing the whole sink full. I didn`t cook yesterday, but there is a load or so waiting for me in the sink. Yesterday I got to meet an internet friend from another group. Her family was passing through my town, so we all went out at a local place. Loads of fun! I wish I could afford to do some traveling & meet more of my internet friends. Also yesterday, swept hard floors downstairs. DS mopped the kitchen. Hoping to get to the rest of them today, but DH is taking off early, so probably not. Today so far: fed cats started laundry (DD`s bedding, will go out on the line when it`s done) took out kitchen trash folded clothes from dryer (washed yesterday) hung out sheets picked up DH went for blood test
