This is the Working in Threes (W.I.T.) Thread
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed,
or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable,
you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.

Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Charis....I will most certainly do that....every time I think, oh god the last thing I want to do is make a train right now, the sink is full of dishes!! I try to remind myself that in just a few years, these beautiful little children who right now constantly say "Mommy, play with me!" will be going "I hate you, leave me alone!" As alway, great job on dailies, and most impressive doing your nails!! Sapphire, the trip to the amusement park was amazing!!! I dont think I said more than hello, goodbye, and thank you to the inlaws, and my kids had a great time with their cousins and I had a great time with the teenagers, because I was acting just like one of them, going on the rollercoasters and spinny rides! Great job getting errands out of the way! And of course, neighbor sunshine!!! Wonderful to see you here today....sorry you are late for work, hope you dont get in trouble!! made & ate breakfast, and cleaned it up! (vitamins/meds taken) straightened zone 1 put eggs on to boil for salad later made a huge train track with son.....it didnt work very well, but it was fun!! straighten zone 2 (dining room and living room) game time with the kids straighten zone 3 (downstairs hallway and playroom)

UGH (Did it in a tank top and undies. ) So now, my WIT items for next few hours (after perusing the threads) are: get lv rm ready for Wednesday in case there is a thunderstorm clean up kitchen ( again ) tidy up entrance hall Hope you all have a productive day, and can keep your wits about you as you cope with your messes... pun intended!

Hi babz, no AC, hardly any private homes have that here. It might change as prices go down, and we get more such 30Cand plus days. Statistically this region only gets about 14 such days per year, so it doesn't pay for most of us to get one.
I have some re-arranging to do in the fridge ahead of me. Have to store food there meant for Wednesday. That's another thing. Most fridges in private homes here are half the size, some only a third the size of what folks have in USA. Those who can afford one, and have space, have a second one they only turn on on days like these, those who live in houses, have another one in the basement. Distances to shops in towns are shorter, we shop more often. :-)

wow, rama, so different than here!! I thought I was behind the times because I still have two window units instead of central a/c - thats where you set a thermostat and it keeps the whole house cool. Very interesting!! but, I guess for less than 14 days a year u could deal with it......I would love to keep my electric bill down!! racehorse workout in the pool learning time with the kids healthy snack for everyone back into the pool for some fun and exercise make dinner restraighten the living room and playroom after bothersome neighbor showed up and her dd made a huge mess!
