Hi Babz, is letterboxing like geocaching? My DD is fascinated with this, but you need an iphone or a gps for that, and I can't afford either

I had heard of geocaching, but not letterboxing. They seem to be similar. I'd think that the "purest" way to do it would be to use a map and compass, not a GPS. I did just look at the site and looked for one in my area, and they just had you follow roads. Start at X, Go east on ___ rd, turn right on ___ rd...etc. look benind the ___ . The box is there.

CatsMother, my best to you. I hope your cat goes peacefully. My guests have just left and now it hits me just how much "maintenance" routines I've been doing while they were here: dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc. every day. I don't have enough towels and tableware to let things go, and beachsand is bad for the floors. TA DAH 1. Sent books, discs, stereo, and other items home with the children 2. Sent food I don't eat/beverages I don't drink home with guests (except refrigerated salads) 3. Washed one set of bedding 4. Started load of dishes 5. Load of wash into dryer 6. Picked up glasses, fluffed throw pillows, and otherwise set to rights various things TO DO 1. Vacuum bathroom 2. Consolidate remaining DVDs into boxes 3. Sort jumble left on bed

TCM, I am so so sorry about your cat....It is such a loss.....I do hope that the time he has left is wonderful and peaceful. Catherina, letterboxing is exactly like geocaching but I think you probably could do it without GPS....a $ 5.oo compass would do the trick!! Missjeanclean, I hope you can apply those maintenance routines to your every day life, instead of just when you have company. Ally!! nice to see you too....glad you got out for your walk....I did not exercise yesterday and it doesnt look good for today since I have just had SO SO much to do.....but I am officially down 29lbs as of today!!! only 71 lbs to go to my goal weight!! I am sorry to hear about your friend...that sounds quite difficult. I hope she is in good spirits. de-disgustified the fridge OMG!!! Unbelievable how disgusting it was in the back.....I guess I have just turned a blind eye to just how bad it was for the past few years!! hung one load of laundry out to dry cleaned out my fruit bowl....also pretty gross at the bottom hang next load of laundry out finish dishes straighten kitchen

Oh no Catsmum, so sorry to hear about your cat Try and make the most of the time you have left . Geocaching starts where they give you the coordinates and you have to start from there. We've had limited sucess with Google Earth. Going to tackle DD'sbedroom - again, this is a long old job.

Hi everyone, I'm just checking in. I did a bunch of things around here then showered and headed out to my forner coworker's house. She looked surprisingly good. Her DH is a saint. He takes such good care of her! There are other relatives that stay with her when he's at work. She has a tracheotomy and complete laryngectomy so she can't talk. She had to write everything down. She still has a few more rounds of chemo to go. She seemed happy to have us visit. I'm so glad I went. Now to take care of a few odds and ends here... and then go to bed.
