This is the Working in Threes (W.I.T.) Thread
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed,
or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable,
you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.

Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Good morning! I started the thread because I was having trouble sleeping. One, because it's hot and humid. Two, because we are being inspected this week at work, and boss already warned me that they would be talking to me, asking questions. I'm not particularly good at answering those types of questions under pressure. And I just found out (yesterday) that another hospital was cited for not doing something we aren't doing. It's a fairly new regulation, and many of us in my field may have misunderstood how it applied to us, or were under the impression that it didn't apply to us. arrrgggg!!!! Now back to bed and hoping for sleep.

Dear Ally When someone asks a difficult question or you feel under pressure. Stop and breath first and make a concious effort to slow down your speech. I speak far too quickly and someone once said to me..."You can always tell someone who is stressed, busy and under pressure by how quickly they speak and I thought that was a very true point. Good luck Hugs xxxxxxxxxxx

I'm so lethargic today My internet isn't working either, (which is odd, because I'm on here, but I can get this site, facebook, and the IKEA website and that's it, everything else keeps coming up with 'Oops, Google Chrome could not connect to ......', on both my laptop and my other computer) which is frustrating, as I have a load of important emails to send, and my gas bill to pay online. So, ta daaa I'm up, overslept, and got DD to school 45 minutes late. (lucky, this is allowed this week because of all the Olympics shenanigans) that really is all I've done today!!! To Do washing up spend 15 minutes clearing clutter from livng room floor, in the vague hope that I might be able to hoover at some point sort out some laundry find the memory card I inexplicably took out of my camera last night, and put down somewhere that's not anywhere near the computer I should know better!!

I'm leaving for work now. Thanks for all of the well wishes. Cat'smum, The inspectors ask lots of questions about... What would you do if such and such happens? What is your policy on this or that? Last time they asked me what I would do if a patient started complaining of chest pain. (Call a for help, take them to the ER...) I give Albuterol during my tests, apparently they want us to contact the pharmacy at the beginning of each test to have them clear us for drug interactions. This would be something new that we aren't doing at this time, I just learned yesterday from another hospital that was inspected last week that this is one of their expectations. I hope you alll have good, productive days. Make sure you do something FUN!

Hi Catherina My internet is playing up too but seems to have sorted itself now.
Don't look at what you haven't done-look at what you have! As the old saying goes-better late than never. I have a problem getting my 5 kids where they have to be on time too. Sending you energy vibes-hope they bounce back to me-LOL Ta da's Sorted out nappy bag for my princess
picked up some rubbish from kitchen counter-empty biscuit wrappers etc and put them in the (overflowing) bin
put clean swim suit back in underwear drawer
to do's
Get off my bum and go to work I'm late and can't be bothered getting up. My work is flexible which is not always a good thing as I leave late then have to work late.
still not decided
Hugs xxxxxxxx

Wow! Everybody's off to a great start. Ally, I love that you started the thread at 12:01 (my time). Perfect. Hello catherina, scribbliz, TheCatsMother, dreaming, babz, and charis. I will be getting ready to go to a counseling session this morning, so no time to work around the house. And I may actually go to the grocery store afterwards. This morning, a hummingbird came to dine on my flowers. He liked the pink petunias, the pentas, and the lantana. He was so close that the only thing separating us was the glass in my window. Wow. walked dogs greeted neighbors turned on fan for hyper dog (ok, I'm reaching here) feed dogs wash hair bathe and dress to shoes
