Going in for surgery tomorrow at 11:00 am to have a tumor removed from the top of my right hand/wrist. Cleaned all 5 litter boxes completely, mowed the whole lawn, cooked like almost 2lbs of bacon with which to make BLTs. Took shower so I'm squeaky clean and arranged for transpo to and from. Before I leave tomorrow I shall slice up some homegrown tomatoes, cukes, melons, etc. 'cuz I won't have the use of my hand for don't know long. I live alone and don't really have any local friends/ family, so this is gonna be a bee-otch, to be frank! Oh, well- at least they'll be getting this thing off me; it's gotten quite painful. Hopefully it's benign! More fast=breaking news as it happens!

I know what it's like to be facing medical stuff when my best friends and family don't live near. All the best to you! Surgery is scary but it will be over soon!

I hope it all goes well. Make sure that the bacon and tomatoes are not in containers that you need both hands to open, the same goes for mayo or any other condiments you plan to use. Keep us posted.

I've had two surgeries on my left arm this year, and I'm having a third after Labor Day (US, September) . Great that you have food prepared ahead. May I suggest one thing- If you take any pills or vitamins, take the caps off all the bottles now. I saved the lids and put them back on after I was healed enough to use both hands. By the way, I'm a terrible typist. I use only my right hand to hunt and peck. Good Luck With Your Surgery_Let Us Know When Its Over!!!

I think there are few of us here who can relate to not having anyone to help out in times like these. I know you are going to do well. It is so smart to get organized and prepare. My wish for you is a fast recovery and check in.. you can might be able to type with one hand. Try using a pencil to hunt and peck with your good hand.. Rest too.. HUGS
