A putrid down throw that exploded with feathers when I washed and dried it. Out of here! Total items 3 OOOH, I have one of those! Good job and thanks for reminding me! Sharp kitty claws cut slits in it...I did not know until i snapped it to make the bed and it snowed. Why it has been in a basket and not the trash I have no idea, it is going out today.

I have to count my standing over the trash and tossing some of my paper pile. That is my one item a day!
Bills I pay on line. I wrote a note on my desk to go on line and opt out of some the paper bills in the USPS if I can. Things like utilities and or high speed internet. I pay them on line, and all the info is there. I not only have the bills in my office, I have them on the table next to my couch.. so much for doing this while watching TV! Books on my list too today. BF can take to Half Price books for me, so I will not be tempted to shop!
Everyone doing well! Remember if you gave one book a day away, in month you'd be down 30 books! But all stay in the present.. small bites! Thanks all!
Tuesday is my Garbage pickup. That is another good benchmark for me. I pay for my pickup on my taxes, a separate item. So I figure I better get my monies worth.. out of trying to fill that green wheelie.

I'm terribly bad at getting rid of things. So I thought I should just set a goal of getting rid of one thing a month!!!
- 1 old comforter for animal shelter
- 1 nice comforter & 2 pillow shams for Salvation Army
Total: 4 items, only 8 more to go.

That reminds me, def6: I've got an onion that needs to go before it starts smelling.
Also going out, a mountain of plastic bags and two old birthday cards.
Last week--I didn't report here but tossed a large bag of old VHS tapes.

You all go gals! I for whatever reason cleaned and purged beneath my sink.. not like it was a priority, but I did SOMETHING! I threw out a bunch of dish washing cleaning related things. Poured the rest of the Jetdry in the machine, tossed out that. Washed and dried the stackable narrow Rubbermaid things I have in there. Put some of my cleaning bottles in the laundry room.. I buy in bulk and pour into pro spray bottles. I do not need to buy any cleaning stuff, but a can of Comet from Dollar store! AND I threw out a bag of flimsy cheap trash bags from my former job.. and I hesitated, but I buy bags from Sams, good ones. WHY would I even think I needed these. I did think about it.. and then I put my finger through one and out they went. Put my free from job, Cascade individual wrapped dish soap in one of the Rubbermaid stackables. No more rummaging about or digging in my laundry room for a few at time!
BUT the big news.. I put my trash can back under the sink. I have always had it there, just the last few years not. I am not sure if my BF will be able to find it..*smile* but I am tired of my island side getting grubby, and the floor underneath it. I have a big kitchen, and I just don't want the trash out.
Everyone is doing great! AND VHS tapes.. I did that a few years ago. The ex taped a lot of classic movies.. but really how often did I watch them? I have Netflix, I have a Blu Ray, I use Redbox... I have not missed a one. YEH Seashell! Def you are in fire! BonBon, Steph, Sunshine and Cando.. you all inspire me. Onions are good here, but I did check on a bag of tatoes!

Def6, Cando, Misssue, Sunshineshouse, Jannie, Arid, Homesteph, Eatingbonbons, Seashell & Jemmi I have not posted here in 7 days, but here is 14 items I've thrown away:- 1 frying pan (I bought a new one yesterday so maybe this does not count, but at least I didn't keep the old one!) - 1 box of spice (hard to toss because very unique pretty box, but expired spice!) - 1 empty Clinique powder case - 1 mascara I don't like - 1 makeup blush that's not my color - 1 broken hair accessory - 1 small decorative box - 1 par of glass coasters I don't use - 1 broken clutch beyond repair - 1 old calendar - 1 bracelet (can't reuse the beads anyway) - 1 ice-cube maker - 1 thingy to wash salad in (I don't need 2) - 1 old skincream (18 items so far this year)

You go Europegirl.. and like I said you do not have to post everyday! BUT it is so inspiring to see what all got rid of!
AND of course the fry pans counts, because some of us, and maybe me..we would have kept both, the old and the new! Way to go! Jemmi you too!
I threw out some makeup today also. I tend to buy in bulk..( I tend to do that for many things) I find something I like, I get a few, after all they might discontinue it. I have to stay off Drugstore.com. When I get ready each day or wash my face at night ( yes use some of that face cream) I can find something to toss. I joke my house looks like 3 girls live here, not just one!
I am gathering books to get rid of. I did some online reading about why I don't need to keep all these books for motivation. That works. I am looking over my colander collection.. do I really need a big one, a small one and the nested set? I made pizza dough and pizza last night for BF and I... and working on not putting back things on counter. I did live that once..
My things are getting in the way of me living a better life? How about that?

I can completely relate to what you said, Missue! So, the 24th -- I got rid of a bunch of papers, a catalog, and a holey sock. The 25th -- 3/4 bag of contaminated Jasmine Rice. Yesterday -- a few papers. I am really happy that this thread is here to keep me accountable. I really want to continue tossing at least one thing every day... There is no reason that I cannot do this. So far, so good. CD
