Do you have your own customized list template with checkboxes, etc? Did it work before in V.4 of proboards, but isn't working now (after March 11, 2013) in the new proboards version 5? Do the images now display funny with strange codes? The problem is your OLD TEMPLATE. The old images were coded differently and those image codes are different now. if you view your post in "visual" mode, you might see this: the checkboxes you want plus the letters "img" on the page {/img} {/img} if you see that odd img lettering ... then toggle to "BBCode" mode, and you will see that the coding shows the following: ------------ What you WANT is the BBCode to show this: --- But .... fixing the codes would be laborious if you have a long list template It might be best if you create a new template from scratch. by just deleting all images from your old template or just retyping the plain text. And then create a new forum post, and then manually add the version 5 images where you want them.

That makes sense, but I tried to make a new test post yesterday and the although "/img" didn't appear, I couldn't get the checkboxes to go to the right place--they all appeared at the end of the post (in other words, I couldn't replace a checkbox in the middle of the post with a different checkbox.
I'll go try it again.

Yeah, the "/img" doesn't appear but the replacement smiley ends up at the end of the post.

You have to open the extra smiley menu, select the one you want, then put your cursor back in your post where you want it to appear, then go back to smiley menu to input it. Yeah. it's annoying. Edit to add ... and sometimes it takes several tries!

I think I tried that and it still didn't work.
I just tried copying the code that appeared at the end of the message and moving it to the right place and that worked--but that, in addition to the fact that you have to open the box for each box you make (instead of just once and having it remain on the side of the post) is going to be too much work. I know myself--the more work it is to make the boxes, the more likely I'll never come back to do it...you know how we procrastinators are...
I already have to keep telling myself that if I need to play games to get my work done it's okay...but playing games that take an extra 20 minutes to make a list...it's harder to justify that....

Oh, and as usual Lion, thank you for the information...I do appreciate it even though I'm doing nothing but complaining! Diane

Sometimes I just drag and drop the image where I want it. Still planning to check with the developer to see what he says. I was out of town today and didn't get a chance. Thanks for the info, Lion.

I went through this with the Beta Testing Board and it was an adjustment, particularly when I used the BBCode entry box.
BUT, it can be done in the Visual mode and it's a lot less confusing if you make all your fixes there. THEN you can go to the BBCode view to copy the entire code and paste it to your master document.
I am confident you'll get used to it and become proficient, Diane.
