Hi Brenda! Isn't it great when you can 'straighten' a room? I love it! And I am finding that straightening takes much less time than CLEANING. Yet, if I straighten it often enough, it doesn't ever need to be cleaned! YAY!
TaDa: 1. Found my important paperwork needed for tomorrow. 2. Cleaned out all the garbage and clutter out of little bathroom. 3. Hosed that bathroom down with cleaner. It is now soaking.
ToDo: 1. Put important papers in household notebook. 2. Clean little bathroom sink. 3. Clean little bathroom toilet.
If I am not back in 30 minutes, send a crew in to get me. This is unchartered territory - especially with a boy in the house!

Cando - great job on those dishes! Now that you have started, it will probably be easier to continue!
hatdiva - I procrastinate as well. Always save for the last minute, even though I know it will stress me out. Have a good time though!
TaDa: 1. Made second pass at bathroom floor. 2. Dusted bathroom light fixtures and walls. 3. Washed out broom and dustpan.
Now... on to the big bathroom. .sigh
TaDa: 1. Make post in the general forum about bathroom dilemma. 2. Clean up garbage from big bathroom floor. 3. Move clothes off of bathroom floor to laundry room.
TaDa: 1. Make first pass at sweeping the bathroom floor. 2. Check under the sink... can I put clean towels there? YES! 3. Cleaned out under 3 cabinets. Not near as bad as I thought. Although I have 16(!) unopened or partially used boxes of feminine products. Dang. What was I thinking?!?
ToDo: 1. Reboot laundry. 2. Spray down outside of toilet. 3. Start cleaning off sink.

The kitchen and bathrooms are the two rooms I've completed sorted through, assigned places to, and organized. So when it's time to clean, I only have to clean. I also always start with the kitchen, then do the bath, then the bedroom. The other rooms are all over the place- parts are sorted, parts aren't, some things are in "for now" places, etc. That's where the major projects are.
Ta dah * Dinner * Load #1 in washer * Toted laundry down to the washer (one step closer!)
To do * More laundry * Lots and more

TaDa: 1. Cleaned right side of vanity/sink. 2. Made first pass at cleaning toilet. 3. Decided that I am done. My downstairs bathroom got clean. My upstairs bathroom has the hard stuff done. Tomorrow, I will need to re-do the toilet and sweep/mop the floor. But tonight, I am going to take a shower and sit and relax! Good night all!

Syzergy-- Shower Liner dance by banana.
MessyShelby-- So nice that you spent time with your DMom. I really miss mine and she is coming in November. I really want things to be nice for her. She is actually wanting to help me, but wouldn't it be nice if I could have tons done before she comes?!!! We were trying to decide where and what to do to spend time together as we so seldom do since she and I live in different states. We thought about me coming there... but then... I have other people that won't understand that I just want to spend time with my Mom and they will want to spend time with me, too. It is nice, but I want to just be with my Mom for a while. We thought about going to Las Vegas...but we are not really big gamblers and don't really want to waste money, and we would end up spending soo much money on shows and stuff. Then, we thought about New York...and see shows and things...but same tame and knowing all the while that my home is a mess and really should take priority and she wants so badly for me to have a nice home & live without all the stuff around... She knows that I want to have people over and don't like living this way. She is soo sweet. Unfortunately, she doesn't understand about us and I soo don't want it to end up badly... So almost talked her out of coming. She finally called back and said that she will strive not to be negative and just want to work all the time and stress everyone out here. She has now asked me to help her not be so negative and to look for the positive and relax a little. (She is a high energy, wanting to get stuff done all the time type of person.). She really wants to help me and spend time with me.
Funny about DS...glad y'all had "The Talk". .
Oops, sorry to be writing such long posts.
Tadas:
1)folded/hung load #1 2)put load#1 away 3)put Load #2 in washer *bonus*cooked sides for dinner, DH made salmon & hamburger patties on the grill. (hamburgers will be for tomorrow night).
Todos: 1)put away left-overs 2)finish those darn dishes & now the stuff from cooking dinner & eating dinner 3)move Load #2 into dryer & hang the hang-dry things
