Making a plan for the day. It always seems to shift after I get off work though and figure out that 4 hours of sleep is not enough and I am exhausted. But sometimes I find success if I at least know what I want to accomplish.
Here are this morning's Ta Da's Dressed & Ready for work Ate Found small "holiday gift" for son's teacher. Put out on husband's desk to send along with a card. And a small something for bus driver. Made it to work Finished all my morning routines at work
To Do at Work (while answering phones and assisting customers) Sunday Select starts - free small paper offered to non subscribers (our sales kids go knocking door to door) January Calendar - print and distribute Phone list updates January 11-17 schedule - Double check all shifts are covered & print
To Do after work Stop at Wally -- look for gift for 8 yo's friend Dishes - unload dishwasher Fold & put away 1 basket of clean laundry (I have lots but if I tell myself I just have to do one, it might work) Pick up 10 things from the family room floor (lots of toys and other things that get tracked in there) NAP Wrap presents (have a lot done already but have more things that have arrived this week not wrapped)

Hi dtesposito. Yes it seems to be that way. We have been having lots of issues with my special needs daughter too with anger issues and banging her fist, head, and anything she can get her hands on into her window and wall. So that just adds to the stress. And of course 2 weeks off school for all 3 kids. Hope you are doing well Diane. Enjoy your holidays!! Angie

Thanks Diane and Holly. Oy ..... did someone catch the # on that bus? Feels like I was run over, backed up and run over again! The kids have had a good day. It's been good for all. But I am exhausted. Got kids in bed finally at 10:30. Asleep about 11:15. Hubby woke me at 1:20 after he got home and we got all presents out and under tree and did Santa gifts and filled stockings. He had a toy kitchen to put together for our son. (insert some cussing) The night was not super restful. I had 2 kids in my bed (seems to be the norm these days) so hubby stayed on sofa. 3 yo was waking and crying and fussing for me every 15 minutes for about 2 hours, just shortly after I went back to bed. Special needs daughter was up most of the night. She was up and out in the kitchen at 11 pm, 3 am, 4 am. ugh! We still haven't got her to open all her presents. She is a hard one to get interested in gifts for some reason. Took about 2 hours just to get all done with the other 2 kids and us, plus a couple of hers.
And it looks like a BOMB EXPLODED in the house. It already was bad in many rooms. But now I just sit and wonder what I will do with all this stuff. I should have been purging some toys before they got more! *yawn* Not sure I am doing much today beyond dishes and feeding people. I have to work Friday and Saturday but then have 8 days off next week. So guess I will have time to do some of it. My body aches though. I would love to go take a nap. Hubby leaving soon for work and the kids would probably set fire to the house if I slept. *jk*
Going to do my dishes I guess. Hubby went to my mom's to pick up some leftovers from her early Christmas dinner with her husband. Even though she does Christmas Eve get together with us and foods like ham, salads, etc., he expects a turkey dinner on Christmas Day. I told her we wouldn't come out of the house again. I am exhausted from wrangling my monster last night. He somehow got the idea that jumping like "BONZAI!" into the pile of presents is an acceptable thing to do. Hope your holidays have been good.

Hi MamaAngie. I think you are a true Christmas angel, with all that you do. I cannot imagine working your hours and then coming home and looking after your kids with so little sleep. You always amaze me. I'm so glad to hear that you have 8 days off coming up. I know that last summer you were having single days off, I hope you are getting more off these days. I hope you can sleep tonight.

Thanks hollyhock. Thing is I haven't worked Wed or Thurs. I am hoping things get a little more regular soon. With our daughter's anger and sleep issues though, that makes it a challenge. Anyway I have been getting my weekends since we got out of the summertime. I even had an accidental 3 day weekend a week ago. I was supposed to work 6 days to cover for someone and then my boss took my Friday. I was not going to argue. I am glad I am home next week since the kids are home 2 full weeks. And hubby switches into his new days off next weekend. He has had Mon & Tues off for about 2 years. He will start having Sat & Sun off. That means he gets 4 days off while I am home. Well made a little headway here tonight in the house. Ta DaChecked washing machine - sheets I started yesterday from daughter's bed. Added this morning's to it and restarted.Dishwasher unloaded, loaded and runningHand washed crockpot & new coffee cups (not dishwasher safe ... yea!)Few cups found in daughter's room -filled sink with hot soapy water (I know I will find more dishes to add to this)Helped daughter open 4 of her presents. Tidied up some of the clothes from kids - had 8 yo try on 2 pants that looked way too small (yep .... gotta send them back. She said "thanks anyway.")Gathered up recycle from kitchenWent thru large stack of unclipped coupon inserts & tossed in recyclePicked up some toys in living room Finished putting together coupons for coupon trainPrinted passenger list and put together my coupon trainTake desk recycle & kitchen recycle out to binFed 1 kidPicked up a few more toys & trash
It's almost 8 pm and only 1 out of 3 kids ate. We ate so weird today. I think they had "lunch" around 4 pm. I am not expecting to get much sleep tonight before work. But cross my fingers that they will sleep in for hubby tomorrow so he gets some rest. Then I can nap after work.

At work, but trying to think out my day once I get home, around 9:30am.
Here's my plan for after work:
Quality time with hubby --- maybe take a walk? Lunch Nap 11:30 - 1:30
**Chores*** Dishes Kitchen trash & recycle Sweep kitchen Desk trash, recycle & shredder Clean poopy chair on porch (new bean bag chair daughter got. Wipes clean with soap and water easy but will have to dry overnight) Empty bathroom trash Empty laundry room trash Wash & dry - multiple loads Sweep laundry room (some food stuff from daughter's bedroom floor made it in with her clothes and now I have major crumbs!) Fold/Hang & put away laundry - 1 load towels - 2 loads clothes - 1 load bedding Get in 3,000 steps (working on being more active and using Fitbit. AHA suggests 10K steps a day. My goal for now is 6K and I plan on having half in by end of work day.)

Make breakfast burritos for freezer - 1 for tomorrow breakfast Time daughter on math test Bath for 2 youngest kiddos Work on folding some of the clean laundry Find clothes for work for tomorrow
