I have not been here in many months. And I really should have been! I will be CRISIS CLEANING tonight and tomorrow! We are doing a refinance on our house which is a good thing .... will save over $300 a month on mortgage. Just went in Tuesday to do paperwork and lady says, "oh an appraiser will be contacting you to make an appointment." ACK!! So he calls today and wanted to come at 10:45 am on Saturday. I have a 9 am trip to the airport to pick up my mom. I pushed him back to 2 or later tomorrow. He is supposed to call me back to firm up time. So EVERY ROOM IN MY HOUSE is utter chaos!! I don't even think I can make a list right now. Husband at work tonight but will help in am.
Starting with the FLOORS ...... they are COVERED with toys, clothes, etc.

Going to make an attempt to find a FLOOR in my living room today. The biggest issue is the 4 yo who leaves his toys plus the paper he loves to shred and toss. I didn't sleep much last night and only took a 30 minute snooze before sending hubby off to work. But going to take some baby steps and get a few things done. Will push more Wednesday and Thursday as I took those days off work this week to help get myself more organized as the kids have gone back to school.
Living Room -Pick up anything trash (paper stuff mostly) -Pick up any clothing items -Hang up new school clothes for kids (on my desk)
Make DD's bed (hubby informed me now no sheets on it and she will go lay on the plastic after school)
Start load laundry in washer
Unload, load & start dishwasher

I need to reclaim some order in my household. It's gotten worse and worse over the past few months. I've made a change in hours at work which in the long run is much better for my health since I get to sleep at night ... and a nice normal amount. But I think I am more tired now on work days than I was before! I was working 3 am to 9 am, 5 days a week. My new schedule is SUPPOSED TO BE 8 hour shifts 4 days a week. But so far I have been working 5 days every week since I started this in December. I am constantly covering a shift that is open due to vacation. I end up floating that 5th day either a Thursday or a Saturday. So I have been working 36-40 hours. Plus I take hour lunches most of those days, and have traffic to contend with now. So instead of being gone 7 hours a day, I am gong 10 hours. I have my "weekend now" so 2 days off. I need to focus on what is important for today. Enter 3 weeks receipts into checkbookBalance checkbook to bank - entering any missing charges (I forget to print things when I do online purchases and sometimes hubby forgets his receipts)Review Feb Budget10yo bath & get ready for schoolEatShower & dressPrint IEP - make notesIEP meeting 11:00 am - need to leave at 10:30 so I can get gasLunch

I'm impressed with all that you do,MamaAngie, what with working all those hours outside the house, along with caring for children, a husband, and a house!! It doesn't sound like you have much, if any, time left for **YOU!!** Try to take a few minutes each day--just for **YOU!!** Arid P. S. It's time to teach those children of yours to put away their toys each and every day. (I've been reading some of your "old" posts!) How about setting a timer for 10 minutes, and tell them that it is time for "Ten Minute Pick-Up and Put-Away?" Work with them in the beginning; eventually, they should be able to do it "solo." Try giving them a little "reward" when they are finished--read them a story, perhaps, or let them stay up 10 minutes later than usual--whatever their "currency" is (as Dr. Phil likes to say!!). Maybe, they would like a dime each for helping. (Notice that I am sticking with "10" here! !!) You know your children best; so, I'm sure that you can think of something that each of them would want. A.
