Thanks Arid. We have tried many methods with the 10 year old. Consistency is definitely an issue between hubby and I .... who is here with her, who is working, who is too tired to fight. Well the house right now is a sinking ship. The 4 yo I am trying to get to help with small things. But right now the toy issue is more that there are TOO MANY. I know we did a small purge a few months ago. But that was my hubby and he's not as ruthless. We have some things in LARGE tubs in the garage that the 10 yo has said "nooooo ...... I want them." Well they are going to magically disappear on one of his garage purging sessions because she has not played with them in 2 years. I also find when I get rid of a lot of the "junk toys" along comes a holiday and they get silly nonsense dollar crap from school friends, grandma, etc. Easter is coming ---- sigh! Just thinking 2-3 dozen plastic eggs magically being set loose in the house.

I have a full 3 day weekend this week! My new work schedule is supposed to be only 4 days, but most weeks I am filling in on a 5th day. Yesterday was just a total blob day ..... nothing but TV and sitting around! Today I am planning on being semi productive. TA DA'sDishwasher unloaded & loaded Laundry swapped in machines 1 kid ready and off to school 2nd kid fed 3rd kid in bath - she had a rough night and is staying home Fed me and hubby Balanced checkbook Finished April budget Paid several bills Made To Do list ---- including delegating a few things to hubby Kitchen recycle out - HUBBY 3rd kid bed stripped and remade - HUBBY Bank deposit ready - hubby go deposit TO DO
Shower & dress myself Bathe 2nd kid, get dressed and off to school Wash more laundry Feed 3rd kid Fold & put away clean laundryWipe kitchen counters Pick up toys in master bedroom Pick up clothes in master bedroom Pick up toys living room Pick up dirty laundry living room Pick up some toys family room

Mega Clutter! Unpack and find a home for 2 boxes a day
OUTSIDE Pull weeds Gather boxes for recycling Bag up construction trash from driveway

Bad night's sleep due to my all mixed up special needs child. She was awake a lot of the night. It's almost noon. I have about 5 hours until hubby and 10 yo get home. Just me, the monster and Miss Mixed up with time (need to get her out of bed!)
I know what I need to do .... really ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. So I will post my TA DA's as I do them for now rather than making a list. And then if I build up some momentum, I will hop over to WIT.

Saturday afternoon TA DA's
Stripped my bed Start laundry - 1 load in wash & 1 load in dryer Unload dishwasher, load & start Empty kitchen trash Empty kitchen recycle Gather hubby's misc crap from kitchen counter into a container Put away 2 new tubs of cleaning wipes in cleaning cupboard (sitting on kitchen counter 1-2 weeks) Put away 3 boxes baking soda in cleaning cupboard - 1 emptied into container for washing Emptied desk trash Emptied desk recycle Broke down a couple boxes for recycle Combined donation boxes -- dumped a whole bunch of stuff into big box (pulled out 4 Fall/Winter shirts for daughter -- I think I meant to separate before but they ended up in the donation box

Wow! You've been busy today. Good job. Thanks Pamela. I have been really slug-like the last 2 days. And tomorrow starts my 6 day work week. It will be chaos because hubby is starting a new job on Tuesday. He will be doing days also, instead of swing. So that means instead of 20 minutes commute in the morning, I will have more like 1.5 hours because I will need to load up all 3 of my kids (they will not be happy about this) at 7:30 am and go pick up my babysitter and bring her back here and then go to work. Basically like driving to work 3 times before starting. I will have to remind myself this week though that it is only 2-3 days a week and it's only through the summer. Once school starts, it will be a lot easier. I really have soooo much to do today! And it's 1:30 pm!

More TA DA for Saturday Emptied Rubbermaid bin of old small-size boy clothes & added to donation box I think these were saved by my sister for my son and I missed the season when he was that size. It looks like my husband uncovered a couple bins in the garage while looking for his camping gear. Lunch for kiddo Cleaned out old food stuff from fridge Put away a few more misc items on kitchen counter -- Keurig pods, lunch bags, cleaning supplies Purge laundry basket full of bathroom items -- cleaning supplies, meds, etc -- tossed a bunch of old meds **STILL NEED TO PUT AWAY STUFF THAT GOES BACK TO BATHROOM*** Rotate laundry

Will need to take out to cans later.
