Finally 2 days off in a row. The last couple weeks have been tiring covering extra short shifts at work and juggling the kids. The house of course always suffers. Yesterday I did a few small things but most of the day I just vegged out. Tomorrow is my Monday, so I need to do a few things here today and preferably before hubby gets home. (He is a bad influence. "Hey wanna watch a movie?" !!) Only 2 of my kids are up. I will need to shake the 3rd out of bed in a bit. She seemed to be awake talking to herself for awhile in the middle of the night. TO DO K up and in bath Find K clothes, brush K's hair and get her breakfast Strip K's bed & make Empty K's trash Round up dirty dishes in K's room Gather dirty clothes from K's floor Gather dirty clothes from E's room Gather dirty clothes from living room Gather dirty clothes from our room Sort all laundry into loads Start washing laundry Fold & put away clean stuff in baskets Unload dishwasher, load & run Wipe kitchen counters Put away stuff on dining room table - boxes of soda & chips for kids' lunches Cat food Cat water Prep dinner - cook ground chicken and trim snap peas Tidy shoes & coats Look thru backpacks - papers from school, etc Coat closet - do I dare? Enter receipts in checkbook & balance Budget & pay bills Gather papers for taxes Make folder for K's receipts Move file folders into file cabinet from garage

Spring Break week for my kids. I worked Sunday and Monday but now I have 5 days off. My 12 yo is gone for 4 days to Utah with her Grandma and cousin ... visiting other relatives. So just me, the 6yo and my special needs teen. It's husbands work week now. Getting off to a slow start today. Slept in until 8 am! Ta DaUnbox Pampered Chef order (this is going to lead to a much needed kitchen purge/reorganization session) Unload dishwasher, load and start Gather towels and start washer Sort thru some of junk mail & toss Report hours worked 2nd half of month (did this at 1 am as I realized today is the deadline) Rather than break this up into too many steps, I am listing the general things I need to do today/this week. Several "tasks" will probably be broke down into several steps. To Do E's room -- highlights of this project are moving a book shelf out, moving a dresser back in, purging her clothes in her current drawers, purging some toys she doesn't play with, cleaning extra blankets & junk from closet, etc Kitchen purge Laundry laundry and more laundry Entry way chaos Desk Extra shelf in living room- clear Thirty One Items Coat closet Paperwork - bills, K's finances, checkbook, taxes, file papers, shredding Sweep -- whole house Boxes of books Linen closet - purge blankets, sheets, etc Master bedroom - corner pile of extra pillows, blankets, etc .... and bin o' crap Bathrooms Pick out paint colors - living & office area getting painted next week

ugh ugh ugh .... so much to do and so little time. In standard Angie form, I have pushed off these projects for months. And now my MIL will be arriving Tuesday evening. Husband got the kitchen painted Thurs/Fri. I got most of it put back together. Before he could paint, I had to really purge my cabinets though so I could get things on the counter put away. I am proud that I got a couple big boxes out of the kitchen for donation. They have been dropped off too so no changing my mind. !! Now today is my last day of the weekend and then I work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. My husband is off Sunday and Monday at least, but he has a bunch of work still of his own. Dishes Wipe kitchen counters Clean stove stop Wipe fronts of appliances Sweep kitchen Mop kitchen Clear dining table - stuff that goes back in kitchen Coat closet Shoe & Coat shelves in entry --- tidy up Craft items on floor in office - put away at craft desk in garage Gather dirty laundry around house toys on entertainment center - put away on toy shelf in family room Sweep living room Mop living room --- find source of cat pee smell (Well I know the source is the CAT! But hopefully mopping all the floors here will take care of.) Sweep family room Shake out litter mat & hose down outside (she peed on the mat ... sigh ) Scoop litter box Boxes in family room to garage - kitchen items I am keeping Wash, dry, fold/hang & put away .... MOUNT LAUNDRY I know there's more. But need to get going and start tackling something.

hahaha .... well I got moving. But this only got 1 thing off my original TO DO. Dishwasher unloaded, loaded & running Gathered more dirty dishes from kids' room (no room to add to dw) Empty kitchen trash Empty kitchen recycle Put away a few things from dining room table (from the kitchen mess from painting the other day) Sort through medicines -- 3 boxes .... quite a bit trashed Organized 3/4 meds into rubbermaid shoebox and poked under kitchen cabinet (they all have safety caps) ... these had been sitting on top of my fridge and I really am tired of looking at that chaos. It sort of "looms over you." We are getting a new refrigerator Monday and I would like to keep from putting things on top. (My husband still will do it. He loves poking things on top of things, especially up high because he's 6'4".) Stripped K's bed K took bath - washed her hair Fed K .... she is on a "brunch schedule" for today. Slept in! Rotated the laundry Gathered dirty laundry piles from living room and took to laundry room Started in coat closet -- already pulled a few shoes & jackets to get rid of Amazon order placed Wipe kitchen counters Clean stove stop Wipe fronts of appliances Sweep kitchen Mop kitchen Clear dining table - stuff that goes back in kitchen Coat closet Shoe & Coat shelves in entry --- tidy up Craft items on floor in office - put away at craft desk in garage Gather dirty laundry from bedrooms Toys on entertainment center - put away on toy shelf in family room Sweep living room Mop living room --- find source of cat pee smell (Well I know the source is the CAT! Day 3 of my 10 day stay-cation. Been very laid back and not doing a lot the last couple days. I did get my checkbook done yesterday, some laundry, dishes ... the usual. Now I need to make a plan of things I want done over the next 8 days. The week I go back to work my 7 year old also starts his extended school year which will be school for 4 weeks. It's only a 3 hour day so I am already anxious about him getting to bed early enough. All the kids have been on the late night summer mode. He will START at 8:00 am, which is well over an hour earlier than normal school days. So I think the bus will pick him up about 7:30 or so. Well time to make a list. Paperwork

Mop living room --- find source of cat pee smell (Well I know the source is the CAT! But hopefully mopping all the floors here will take care of.) Angie - I'm just wondering if you know the black light trick. We have a black-light flashlight that I use to locate cat pee spots. You have to use it in the dark.
