See, I don't have a smart phone, so I forget that people can stay connected through the internet even though they're on vacation! I figured we wouldn't hear from you until you came home. I hope you're enjoying yourself. Is you husband home from work to take care of the kids? I love when a husband has to occasionally do all the kid work--I think it helps them appreciate what it entails. Diane I did use my smartphone the first day and then we were so darn busy I didn't get back on. The convention was a lot of fun! Lots of standing in line and some details they should figure out before next year. This was their 25th anniversary so a big deal and they added spots. Really too many people to move around when it was all being dismissed from a main session. And they definitely didn't have their tour bus thing running as good as it could've. But still fun. I got to spend lots of time with my mom. We got tons of gifts! I came home with a new backpack, 6 new stamp sets, several packets to make some projects and few other paper, sticker and accessory type prizes. Yes my hubby was home from work to care for the kids, all except last night. His boss had said he could only give him 3 out of the 4 days off because summer is so busy and busy with tons of vacation requests. My 23 yo and her boyfriend came around 3 pm yesterday and stayed until hubby got home after 1 am. But otherwise he was doing all the kid care. He does enough when I am home, but it is different to do the whole day all on your own and then roll out of bed and do it the next day on your own and then again. They seemed to have survived. Had the dishes all done. Even cleaned up toys in the living room. And the kids had been bathed this am. (Not sure if they were bathed any other days, but oh well. They were clean today.)

Hello Messymama, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip despite the glitches, and that your home and kids were still there when you got home! I'll bet your husband was glad to see you.

Looks like I am really slacking posting .... especially here. Well slacking on DOING also. Today is my one day off from work and then back to juggling sleep vs doing in the daytime after work.
TA DA's so far:
Gather dishes from last night and load up in dishwasher & load Unload dishwasher & load up breakfast dishes Bathe all kids & make sure dressed (only one needs help) Empty kitchen trash Take all trash & recycle bins to road (pick up day) Fold & put away basket of clean towels Clip a few more coupons to send to coupon friend Mail to mailbox Lots of organizing at desk - card supplies - Sorted retired from current designer paper. Labeled drawers or magazine type holder - Sorted retired from current cardstock. Current in filing drawer in hanging folders (closer to me so easier access) and retired in magazine type holder. - Sorted scrap paper. Tossed a lot. Sorted solid colors and designed into 2 separate drawers. (3 drawer organizer type thing.) - Put some paper (retired and "the store brand stuff" into donation box. Also donating old paper scorer and a couple old wooden stamp sets. - Sorted through cards from swaps, retreats, etc. A few "good cards" put into my stash for giving. A few really horrible ones tossed out. A few semi-horrible ones put in donation box. - Sorted through projects from past retreats, classes, etc --- tossed out a few that got beaten up and just kept 2 or 3 for ideas. Fold & put away extra comforter Coupon inserts sorted into weeks and put in hanging file folders in drawer Store run being done by hubby & 7yo New stamping supplies put away - somewhat (I still need to reorganize my punches and my stamp sets but the box is empty now) Fold & put away load sheets Fold/Hang & put away 1 load darks Fold 1 load darks - #1 kiddo's stuff (still need to put away tomorrow)
Still to do: Laundry -- lots of it! Sweep kitchen floor - pretzels & crackers and even toy cars! Bring trash cans up from road Take 1 donation box to van Start cards for swap (I'm embarrassed how behind I am!) 10 minute toy pick up (2, 3 or 4 times)

Very short list of ta da's for today. But still got more accomplished than some days since dishes were done twice and a few loads of laundry were handled. Tuesday Up, shower & ready for work Swap loads of laundry in machines Work 3-9 am Bring trash & recycle bins up from road Take 2 bags of bathroom trash from porch (kiddo wouldn't let me out the door last night) to trash can Unload dishwasher & load up leftovers from last night - Run after lunchtime Swap laundry in machines Fold & put away clean load linens 7 yo to swim lessons Unload dishwasher again Swap laundry again Fold & put away load towels Fold/Hang & put away load clothes Put away (already folded) load of clothes Little bits of picking up, gathering dirty dishes and clothes after people. It really looks like a toy box bomb was set off in every room though. Oh well.

Hi MamaAngie(the formerly messy mama) Love your new name! Thanks CourageouslyLion SeeksSerenity! I decided I needed to change it a bit and still be close enough to recognizable. I don't want to be Messy. I am trying. So I decided a change would be good.

Worked little bits at a time today despite a horrible night sleep. Son had some issues not wanting to go to bed, getting really upset. Finally slept, then fell out of bed and the crying started back up. So after only 2 hours of sleep, I was up as I was going to be getting up in 45 minutes for work anyway. I did manage a 2 hour nap late this afternoon, but just feeling really blah. Glad I got stuff done earlier in the day. Here's a recap of my accomplishments copied from WITs. Some of my accomplishments were just kid care, but hey I had to be upright and moving so it counts! Wednesday
Shower & ready for work Coffee & breakfast Gas station for energy drink Work 3-9 am Gathered up breakfast dishes, loaded in dishwasher and started Swapped laundry in machines Emptied laundry room trash and took out to trash can Emptied kitchen recycle Emptied desk recycle Entered receipts in checkbook & balance to checkbook Diaper change on lil' man Snack for kids - apple sliced up Washed daughter's hair Pulled comforter off #1 daughter's bed (was looking grungy last night) and tossed in washer Pulled clean load darks out of dryer Gathered all #1 daughter's laundry from her room & bathroom and took to laundry room File cut coupons August Budget Pay mortgage - scheduled for tomorrow Air bed out of family room Feed 4 kids - 1 chicken nuggets, 1 chicken burger (patty only - ran out of nuggets), 1 peanut butter and jelly and 1 waffles (from the freezer of course) Unload dishwasher while keeping an eye on 2 yo (likes to play musical chairs pushing others out of their chair) & load up lunch dishes into empty dishwasher Shoooo 6 and 7 yo into backyard before 2 yo saw (will take him out in a few minutes) Swapped load of laundry Called boss & left message about Friday shift - need to get off 1 hour early to accommodate hubby's PT appt. Or else find early am childcare Fold/Hang & put away load #1 darks Fold/Hang & put away load #2 darks Fold & put away clean extra comforter from dryer Gather dirty laundry from our room & 7 yo's Start another load of wash (and probably 1 or 2 more .... lost track) Cleaned up kids stuff from backyard - toys, towels, discarded clothing 2 hour nap 2 yr old bath Feed people (I don't wanna but I will) General clean up in kitchen after dinner - dishes into dishwasher, counters wiped, etc Fold/Hang & put away load #1 colors Fold/Hang & put away load #2 colors Fold & put away linens (drying still) Get clothes etc ready for work for Thursday Gathered towels from bathrooms, kids swimming etc -- wow ... a load! In washer now Gathered few more darks - will be washing tomorrow. Phew!! I am done for the day! 9 pm. Lil' buddy is grumpy. Going to snuggle and then go to bed in 30.

Hey Angie, it looks like you had a very productive day despite the lack of sleep--think about what you'll be able to do the next time you get a normal amount!

Hey Angie, it looks like you had a very productive day despite the lack of sleep--think about what you'll be able to do the next time you get a normal amount! Diane Yes I was actually productive, which is completely opposite of so many days, especially the majorly sleep deprived days. One thing was my husband had his first physical therapy for his injury on his foot/ankle. So I didn't have a choice. I had to be awake. It seemed to be easier to stay awake if I kept going on little bits. And the kids thankfully were super happy to see their cousin and there were no fights or whining. Today could be different. I got 4 hours of sleep last night, but I know how things catch up with me too. I am going to make a list of what I want to accomplish this morning vs afternoon. I have my 23 yo and her boyfriend coming over for lunch today .... just to hang out and catch up with them a bit. Seems like life gets to be so flurried and hurried and we don't see each other much. And they only live 1 mile from our house!

I didn't bother updating here, but posted some ta da's on the Working in 3s board. So as I had predicted, Thursday was a so-so day. The exhaustion catches up. I did get my entry way shelf almost all tidied now. I still have to tackle the top which is a landing zone for everything as people walk in the door. But all the cubbys are tidy and a bunch of shoes cleaned up and going bye bye. Friday Happenings Shower, dress & ready for work - breakfast, coffee, etc Dishwasher unloaded, dinner dishes loaded up and set to run Load of coats tossed into washing machine Work Drop off 2 donation boxes at Good Will Feed 2 youngest

You're still decluttering even on a week with little sleep! Will you have more than one day off this coming week?

Diane The lack of sleep caught up with me Diane. I did basically very little yesterday. Then went to sleep at 4 pm for a "nap" and didn't get up truly until 3 am today when me alarm went off for work. I woke a few times, heard the kids and hubby, all happy sounds and went back to sleep. And by a big miracle I do get both of my days off this week! Sunday and Monday I am home. Don't have anything major going on those days. Hubby has PT on Monday afternoon. But nothing else. So I want to get a good plan for the weekend.

Saved just a small amount. Hubby took 5 boxes of donation to van Hubby worked in garage cleaning up one area Fold & put away load #1 towels Fold & put away load #2 towels Unload dishwasher Wipe kitchen counters Hubby took care of dinner .... fed the kids and cooked for himself. (I really didn't want pork and not feeling too hungry.) Make shopping list -- hubby shopped for the few things we needed Only thing that was left on my to do was sweeping the kitchen. I am really tired. And I was having some stomach cramps earlier. So gonna call it a night since it's 7:30pm

I'm moving a few things to tomorrow's to do now as it's almost 4 pm and I know that hubby is "done" for the day (once he gets home from PT.) I'll work in kitchen in a few and still want to get that one shelf cleared and the toys (hopefully.)
