Di - ugh...that would be my nightmare. I have drying racks that I put out back on the deck when the weather is nice. No one can see them and they are back inside before night fall.
One it was so bad (the amount of laundry that was being washed and needed to be hung up to air dry) that I started hanging the clothes around the top of my screen room. they dried quickly and I was able to stay outside in the fresh air while I folded everything. That was a lovely day!

I have an empty washer, there is a load of sheets on the floor needing to be started. There are a couple of pairs of jeans in the dryer and the hang to dry clothes are hanging in the bathroom.
My favorite timesaver is that I put wet clothing directly on hangers to dry it, then it can just be transferred to closets. When you peg it, that adds an unnecessary step. I don't know why this isn't more common, I don't understand adding unnecessary steps to ANY job.
My inside "line" is a 2nd shower rod hung over the center of the downstairs tub -- all our hangers are plastic.

Hey ya'll great job on ticking away at that laundry. I played catch up once again. It was a weird 2 weeks with work and a couple appointments. Thankfully I finished up laundry on Sunday (my 1 day off) and yesterday. Got done before I was too tired and had to go deal with car dealership and husband buying a new Jeep.
So Sunday we had roughly 6 loads that were already washed that got folded or hung up and put away. Washed another 3 that day and got all those put away. Monday I did 2 loads and got put away. My bathroom rugs which were sitting in the laundry room damp and mucky from children all got washed too. I finished that one up and thought my oldest daughter was coming over to do laundry because they couldn't get to machines that day (her almost FIL was working on car and had the machines blocked) but then they didn't need to. Glad my laundry room isn't overrun by clothes. I think though with all my "catching up" I will be ready to run 1 load this afternoon after work.
Goal ---- just 1 load a day to keep the chaos away!

Got 2 small loads washing today, instead of the 1 I committed to. Hubby had to wash dd's sheets last night. So those have been folded & put away. Darks in dryer and lights in washer. Committing to folding and putting away each load as they are done so I don't have any baskets sitting around.

Bumping this up.
I got all but one load of laundry washed, and spent 2 1/2 hours doing all the backed-up ironing. It feels so good to have it done!

Cleanbee, sometimes I just deal with the article of clothing on top, put it where it's supposed to go, then come back to it sometime later and take the next piece, put it away, etc. Putting up is definitely the hardest part for me.

All right I am finally heading upstairs to get those baskets of clean laundry out of the closet! Ill start with folding the kitchen towels and see how,it goes from there!
