This morning while cooking breakfast, I washed an iron skillet that had tomato based stuff dried in it. Now clean and ready to use.
This morning, I will put away Friday's clean dishes and load yesterday's dirty ones.
This morning I noticed that the dishes piled up in the drain rack, though clean and dry, still make the kitchen feel messy and dampen my motivation to clean the kitchen.

Washed up tonight. Such a simple statement, but a confidence building one. Great job!!!!! Running dishwasher right now. On a side note why is it that I decide to feed the cats wet food AFTER running the dishwasher?

A make-up container...you mean I'm not the only one who puts non-dishware into the washer? *whistle* Are these the same kids who you keep getting roped into watching?

Yeah they had no place to go!
Since kitchen was clean I got ahead of game and made spaghetti from scratch for tonight's dinner yesterday and did all dishes. Kitchen cleaned directly afterwards!

Today's dishes - DONE (2 times today!)
(G)RyPiT - DONE (except for a small amount of garbage - too dark and I'm too tired - shall be dumped in the A.M.)
Unloaded dishwasher
My husband invited me to come to bed when he was heading that direction and I said, "No, I'm going to clean up the kitchen". I'm still amazed at the change that is happening.

This morning I noticed that the dishes piled up in the drain rack, though clean and dry, still make the kitchen feel messy and dampen my motivation to clean the kitchen. dayeanu, I was having this problem too. But now I've included putting away those dry dishes as part of my pre-bedtime PEEPing routine. Sometimes a few drops of water are still clinging to them, which are quickly dried with a dish towel. Also the drying rack gets folded up and put away. So now the kitchen is completely clear when I wake up, and this has made a small but welcome difference in improving my morning mood.

Its 11:37 p.m. and I ran dishwasher and hand washed overload due to guests. Wiped oven and counters. Feeling bad because folded laundry and unfolded on dining room table but no way to put away without awakening people. Swept cat food that cats scattered and did litter. Other than laundry which is tomorrow's chore finished all kitchen. This is all kitchen routine for me.

I have limited kitchen cabinet space so if dishes are on counter as long as they are clean for us it counts. I have kitchen where I can cook with no problem.

I did the dishes washed/shiny sink rapture thing for years after I joined flylady - almost 10 years ago. then I lost it, and was left with a resentment about it. It has taken me a lot to begin to get just the dish washing thing back as an everyday activity, and now I am so demand resistant about the drying of dishes and clearing off the draining boards. I am pleased for all who get the cleared sink thing happening. And dishes and pots washed to boot. Dishes washed here tonight. Thanks for the cheers desireelafleur
