3 blankets and a pillow to GW! The one blanket I really liked, it matched the pillow, but I just didn't want it taking up space. I bought it thinking I would have a pink room but it didn't work out like that. When I was on my way to GW I thought why do I feel like I have to justify not wanting to keep it? I also thought "What about a winter power outage.." After I dropped it off I remembered that I wanted to keep looking for a wool army blanket for winter. YAY! A bag from the move that has been sitting by the basement steps waiting to be unpacked to the trash. Two canisters of oatmeal that were opened but never used up. I like the steel cut oats now that I've tried them. I have two more cannisters but I need a chair to reach them so will do it later.

I donated 2 bags of stuff. Mostly clothes but also some home textiles. I think I have mentioned most of them on this thread when I had put them in the donation box.
I forgot to take a crock, a scarf and I have one dress I need to wash before donating it, so I am already filling the next bag.

Hi OnTheMend, you're staying clutter conscious and getting things out before they pile up. I remember that you went on a trip recently, I have to check out your blog and see how it went.
Cando, I love that you've finished your front bathroom, do you go look at it occasionally just to admire the neatness? I do that after neatening up my pantry--keep peeking in to admire how nice it looks!
Turkeyhill, I know your new avatar is a pretty grey cat, but every time I first glance at it quickly I think I'm seeing a seal, sleeping on a comfy white bathrobe!
I finally finished my huge work paper purge, which allowed me to get rid of a ton of paper, and hopefully, some bad feelings too. Some of the paper was estimated again, but I always estimated low.
Here are my totals for the last week or so:
2,838 papers 37 brochures 13 magazines 3 newspapers 2 calendars 14 booklets 2 photos 15 file folders 1 coloring book 1 plastic drawer divider 3 books
Starting total: 4.447
Today: 2,929
Grand total: 7,376

Congrats on finishing the Huge Work Papers!!!! That is just fantastic!!! About my front bathroom, I do not go in to admire it and enjoy it, but I definitely notice every time that I do go in there & it does make me smile to see the emptiness & how nice it looks. So far, I've been maintaining it. turkeyhill - I am doing the same thing with your avatar as Diane. Seeing a seal when I glance at your avatar quickly. Then, I see it is a precious kitty. CD

dtesposito My trip went well but I was glad to back at home, ! I recently posted a photo of my dog in my blog! turkeyhill you are doing great! Every piece out is a progress: yarn take surprisingly lot of space after all! have you been rewarding yourself with some knitting lately? I think you decerve it! *** I put 2 belts in the donation box + threw away one belt. Also took glass and metal recyclables to the collecting point (about 1 km walk).

WTG on the belts and walking the recyclables! Belts always seem to hide when I would try on old clothing and reappear at later times. I still miss some of it from last night - so silly I know - I feel like I just need to wait it out for those feelings to go away. You are right it does take up a lot of space!!! I haven't been knitting, but I am going to start again tonight! <3

Open for business again. I'm feeling stagnant. I think I may have to make some sort of official declaration of a purging goal so I'm peer pressured into action.

Thanks turkeyhill! yes those belts have gone through several decluttering rounds and I thought they were fine, but now - - out they went! PaperGrace good luck! I took some donations, a bag full of mostly clothes, to the charity today, most items I have mentioned on this or other threads before. Ahh darn, now at writing this, I realized I forgot that one scarf again! Oh well, I have new batch of donations started then!
