This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing.
- Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or
depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's
- Took pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's:
- Bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- Put dirty socks in hamper
- Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.
YOU DESERVE THEM!

I will try to work in Threes again today. And use my timer. So far this morning:
Tadas:
1. Got up, let out cat
2. Made coffee, had breakfast
3. Let in cat, fed cat
Todos:
1. Load dishwasher
2. Unload washing machine, cloths into dryer
3. Clear some surfaces in the kitchen (pick and choose)

Wow...I passed OUT last night, almost as soon as I took a moment to relax. Clearly, I needed the rest, but I wish that it would have been on my time. Unfortunately, I woke up at 1:45, and I will be at work from 7:30- about 3 A.M. on Saturday. Yeah...that's right. Ugh.
Ta Dah!
*Assembled new bookshelf (about 2 hours)
*Shelved books! I'm so excited about that! (Sadly, I still have one more HUGE box of books to shelve, so I'll be getting another new bookcase in the very near future.)
*Shelved CDs, boxed extra cases and separated school materials
*Identified several boxes of materials that I can take right to school, today.
To Do!
*Soak a load of dishes for 15 min.
*Empty closet for storage prep.
*Swish and swipe in bathroom

*Closet actually looks kinda organized! (Holy crap...paper clutter! I can't wait to attack that mess after I get the visible junk out of the way!)

*Cart school boxes out to car
*Transfer suppies from car to home

Hello :-*Planting my booty on this thread today...wishing everyone a day filled with sunshine and productivity :-) Dustys To Do Primer: 1. Clean up and vacume Home office floor 2.Dust Living Room,put away and organize craft items 3.Start a load of laundry Tadas: 1: Cleaned top of frig number 2 in my kitchen,yes I have 2 friges  because one is my son and dils who are living with us with thier 3 little ones. Put all thier meds into a rubbermaid container just like mine . 2: Cooked and ate a real breakfast just for meeeeee,eggs ,toast and coffee . Everyones gone and I have the whole house to myself . |

 Hi everyone. Thanks Rosebud for starting the WITS thread. Wow Booboo, you are really working hard! Don't you just hate assembling stuff? I know I do. Great work on the closet too.  Sapphire, you're off to a good start. Wantin'more you are doing great with the laundry!  Yay! Welcome dustydiva. :-*Glad your booty is here.  Good for you for having a good breakfast. It sure helps with the energy level. My TADAS: 1. Washed, dressed, took pills n' vites. 2. Started laundry. 3. Went out for breakfast after stopping to fill gas and oil. 4. Banking done for me. 5. Grocery shopping done and put away. TODOS: 1. Work 2nd shift. 2. Laundry in to dry when I get home. 3g

Hey Cando...Why do people have to be so nasty at the DMV?!?! I think they have more angry people working there than any other gov. office. I'm sorry you had to deal with it. Good for you for doing it online.

TADAS: COURT DONE. Papers filed and served. Now we wait... Went into casino for parking validation. I hate them, but I did it for the free parking.  . Back to work for closing. Todos: Dinner. Yet another load of laundry. Clean kitchen. I need to sweep and mop. |
