Today I bought a 16' flatbed trailer.Okay, you win. Win what? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure no one else here is going to be buying a flatbed trailer!!
Diane Oh, my dad would love to have it. He dreams about it. But does not have the money to get it. I am in a good phase now, I have been acquiring only food and bus tickets. IO even got myself a prepaid bus ticket so I can order the ride online now.

Then we could use my trailer to haul off everyone's unwanted stuff! It did occur to me when I bought the trailer that I could use it to run a part-time hauling service. Back before I had a truck, I realized how difficult it can be to not have a way to haul stuff.

Speaking of flat things, today I bought a push-up bra. $28, marked down from $36. I just hung my head in shame when I realized the last bra I bought was a maternity bra...four years ago. (I think I am taking the not acquiring thing a bit too far.) Glad you got the discount. at this point I'd willingly pay the $36. On a different note I decided that I wanted to do those yummy mason jar salad things. I knew goodwill had some jars. They were missing the round part of the lid but I have extras of those at home. So a bought them at a buck a pop. Then I went to the dollar store and they had brand new jars, with complete lids, for a buck a pop. So I bought those. But now I HAVE TO return the jars to goodwill to avoid clutter...ugh.

Here, you can go to Wal-Mart, Fred's or any of the grocery stores or discount stores and buy a dozen fruit jars with rings and lids for $7 - $10, depending on whether you get pint or quart size.

I bought 10 bras the other day. I was out of town and stopped at the outlet store, where they're $10 each, instead of $45. I'm having a friend come over today after our walk, and she's going to try them on, and I'll giver her a few. Ugh, 10! It's feast or famine as far as my bras go - I bought 2 a few years ago (they're getting badly worn now) and before that, 4 years ago (it just recently fell apart, and I can't bear to part with it because of the awesome colour) crap crap crap, I know they were a super sweet deal, but seriously, 10?!? Crazy.

Crazy. cyn I have done that, too. Six pairs of white shoes with barely perceptible differences, for example. I sometimes do it because I notice slight differences I. Items as being big and significant differences. Each item is unique, to me, even if they are barely different, and it have a hard time selecting just one. Sometimes I buy multiples because I want to have an entire "set". And so stores it's a fear of not being able to find such a deal again. The book "Buried in treasures" talks about all this.

I tried on 10 bras, left the other 9 pretty but less-than-perfect ones behind, and bought the one that fits and looks and feels perfect. I purposefully took only enough cash to buy one bra, even though they had a half-price special if you bought a second bra. The salesgirl tried to push that offer on me, but I was determinedly pre-programmed to say No thanks. Still she kept pushing and said she would calculate how much money I would save. I said: Stop, you're being mean... but I said it sweetly with a laugh and a smile. So she laughed too and stopped, and I left happily with my one perfect bra.

I need to read "Buried in Treasures" because I think the bras represented something, beyond just getting out of my old frayed ones. When I bought that bra 4 years ago, I was recently unemployed. My SIL took me to the La Senza outlet, and I tried on over a dozen, to find that perfect one. Since I wasn't working, I didn't think I should be buying *anything* but a sea of La Senza at such bargain prices was dizzying, and it was my favorite colour...mmmm, what a great bra - bills, schmills!
Then after I was working again, and needing a new bra, I bought those other 2. I just found the receipt while cleaning out purses to donate. Ugh, it was a sale like you mentioned, papermoon, and I fell for their spiel. But $75 for 2 bras! Wow, that's pretty expensive. So this time, knowing I'd be at the outlet again, I told myself that I was going to spend all the money I'd made picking up a shift at work, a shift on my day off. Free money, so to speak.
So I don't need 10 bras, but I do need to rid myself of the demons of a not-too-distant past where I was fighting to make ends meet. When spending $10 was a *big* deal. Now I have enough bras to last me the rest of my natural life, ha ha! The bad news: I couldn't give her any, because they didn't fit her properly. The good news: I did unload 5 others, that I wouldn't wear. She loves them, and kept saying, "Are you sure you want to give me all these?!?" because they're her ultimate awesome bra: sports bras! Yikes! My mom bought them for me, because supposedly underwire bras aren't good for you. Huh, I love 'em! No sports bras for me - and now they're not even in my drawer, taking up space. Yay!

I bought a big tarp to go over the hay of the trailer. But then I backed the trailer under the barn, so I don't need the tarp - at least not right now. I think I'll return it.
I also bought a bag with a zipper.to keep up with receipts, etc. It may be one of those things I don't need. I may return it.
This afternoon, I bought an aquarium ornament and a bag of bird chow.

I had thought I'd keep this bag in my purse. Then as soon as I'm handed a receipt at the store, I can stick it in my bag. I think I'll try the zip lock and see how it works.

with bras, such a deal is unheard of and may not happen again. but of course, when you gain or lose weight your size changes. what a conundrum. I have the problem of not living near any decent bra store and only now own one, old stretched out and yet too small bra. If I could possibly find a good bra at a decent price I'd buy a bunch. but I can't afford any, grump.
I did not go to the special membership card people's 50$ off sale at the good thrift store even though I previewed it the day before and there was a lot of stuff I liked and even needed.
i don't know if i can resist the church fall bazaar this Saturday though.
