Those black & white herringbone patterned tights I got at Target the other day turned out to be a bad buy. They snagged if you even looked at them, and thus the pattern got all skewed after only one wearing! I have a pair of kneesocks in the same B&W herringbone, and they've lasted for years, but made by a different company. So I'm not buying any tights from Target anymore. Phooey. Now, at first I just put them back in my socks drawer. For the next couple of days, every time I opened the drawer and saw them, I got pissed off all over again. So today I threw them clean away instead of my usual old behavior of keeping them forever just in case. In case of what? If I needed to wear stupid snaggy tights again?? Proud of you for throwing them away!!!!

Returned two large rolls of duct tape. 8 buck plus per roll and got CLR to clean filters in dishwasher. Used leftover refund money to get Hawaiian rice for snack and bought soda.

I love that you just put into words that we keep things that are annoying and stressful for what? Especially with something like tights that are small and can be squished into a corner we say "why not"....of course I would have been thinking that I should save the tights for cleaning or holding garlic cloves...

Thank you, papermoon! I've been putting off dealing with my tights collection, which is a jumbled mess - some are good, some have holes - you know. So today, instead of moving them around *once again* while I try to organize, I'm ditching them. Alright, realistically, I'll keep half, . But at least it will be the last time I move half of them. Cheers!

I would have kept them to put in the bottoms of flower pots, because of course, I don't have anything else I could possibly use!

I forgot. ..When I was in town the other day, I saw Rhoda, of Rhoda's World Famous Hot Tamales, selling tamales out of the back of her car. It's the first time I've seen her in a very long time, so I bought 3 dozen and put them in the freezer.

I bought a 2 quart dutch oven, a holder to go underneath it, and a quick dutch oven cooking for two cook book. I made my first meal tonight and it was great:) The cook book says 20 minutes prep and 45 min cook and it did work out perfectly. The cook book is also for healthy eating so I am hopefully going to lose a bit. (fingers crossed)

Hi papermoon, so sorry to hear the disappointing news regarding those tights. Well done though for making the decision not to keep them. Daye, I didn't know you can use old tights in the bottoms of flower pots. I have heard that you can use them for cleaning the shower, but have never been tempted to try using them for that. TML, congrats on the dutch oven purchase. Is it electric or does it sit on your cooktop? I have bought my favourite shampoo and conditioner. This is a treat but they came with a full-size serum which will make a great Christmas present for one of my nieces. The shampoo is very kind to my coarse hair and sensitive scalp, as well as having a mild fragrance that doesn't give me a headache, unlike a lot of other hair products. I am looking forward to using them.

Today I purchased candy for trick or treaters, two candles for pumpkin, kitty litter 2 boxes, 7 glow sticks ,masks and earrings. Paid for text book for class! Gas for car...saw an elderly man whose car broke down. I took him home to get container to put gas because he ran out. While driving he disclosed he'd had a triple bypass...no way he would have made it home...paid for gas for his containers to put in gas tank.
I am also blessed in that a friend knowing it would be difficult on me buying school books and ink for printer plus bills and kids arranged for her church to give me groceries including a lamb roast, fried chicken, hamburgers, chicken and enough for my homeless friend's family too! I was told to come back every week I need it.
Also had to pay for my certification for my tax class and my CTEC certificate to do taxes.

jendela old stocking cut to fit the bottom of a flower pot will keep the dirt securely in the pot, while allowing the water to drain out. Coffee filters are really good to use as well. Today I bought a barn and two sheds.

Today I bought a dog bed and blanket for the two strays. They sleep inside during cold, hot, or stormy weather, and they manage to tear their beds up every few months; it was time for replacements.
I also bought a throw, and pizza to go at DGS' request.

We are scared when you buy the baler...and to think I felt guilty at buying Doc McStuffins doll, soup, crackers, sodas, birthday card, coloring book card game for granddaughter ( presents for her Halloween birthday) and a new book for my daughter!
I also bought donuts for breakfast and energy drinks.

The one we currently have, I learned to drive on in 1964.)
