Your paper journey is inspiring me. I took care of a pile that has been accumulating on my bookcase. Just one small pile, but it is a start. And it takes so long to go through this stuff. You are my paper hero! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/GuBQQkiwyXxnHbJKesLq.gif)

heyya shelby glad to hear it's motivating people ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/5W4UEP3N1aQXkhreE2zR.gif) i still have the inbox to file but it's a managable noninsane level of inboxness.. but i'd like to file it before it gets out of hand again:/ i updated doomroom pic thread.. i'd separated out mancreature's stuff from mine so i could have a grasp of what was actually left and have some room to actually move... i am at a total loss.. i threw away an empty plastic bin without a lid and a lid without a bin and a cardboard box.. put pic frames i want to repaint in closet.. but i need to toss stuff and i really, really, really just dunno what to toss.. so overwhelmed with all this crap:<

Maybe you need to step out for a bit. Regroup before deciding what to toss. Work on something else in there. I am doing more paper tossing tonight. I have to move my bird from his current spot over the heater vent. We have to turn on the heater soon, it is cold now. Now it is necessity. I looked at your updated pics for inspiration! BTW I love the suitcases with the roses on them. So cool.

i did work on doomroom a bit more and dealt with a box of office supplies.. some got put away, some got thrown away.. and the cardboard box got thrown away...

went through the NEW pile of junk mail. tossed most of it. put rest into inbox. new phone arrived. HOOAH. phone of salvation, or at least so i tell myself. glued a wooden box with latches and handles back together. the bottom broke. mancreature was in love with it though.. so now it is on it's way to mending and being repaired.. glue needs to set though. then i'll use the large upholstery staple to resecure the bottom to the sides...

put away paper memorabilie type stuff into trunk of other similar stuff. took down old curtain hardware recharging powerdriver to put up new curtains tossed some pieces of paper pruned back plants and spread them out on windowsill better and turned em since they were getting lopsided growth
sheets that are destined to become a skirt, a dress, and electronics cozies got washed, dried, and are now in w/ the rest of the fabric in the fabric closet... i'd really like to do some sewing and put a dent in that closet that overfloweth:/

cleared out most of the floor in doom room. things sort of seem to appear to fit. as long as you don't open the closet:< at least i can walk in and around in there now. i put alot of stuff into the desk drawers, uhg. crammed alot of stuff into the closet.. i need to go back through and rearrange stuff in there but now at leas it's mostly picked up and i can maneuver through it. a box of stuff of mom's i want to scrap book. a filebox of her papers to actively deal with. and a box of her library books i just haven't found the heart to take back to the library... i am starting to wonder if i ever will at this point.

working on the half of the closet containing fabric now... pulled out everything that wasnt orderly. separated it into pile of fabric versus pile of unfinished projects. pulled out the fabric i want to sew into sleep pants. that's sitting in the corner now looking at me pleadingly and wanting to be sewn but it has to wait 'cause now i'm going through all the unfinished projects one by one and tossing or doing them. finished things so far- repaired animal toys they love but have shredded repaired belt sewed new buttons on slippers repaired skirt waist band finished sewing a little bag i can toss keys and phone and a few odds and ends in... green and yellow with little dancing bachus goats drinking coffee instead of wine repaired alphabet skirt i made last week. i'd only basted in the darts and zipper. now is all done and in closet for good.

today i tackled the half of the closet that contains fabric. there's a bit of a middle section to it that has some stuff piled in front of it, that's where i store the scraps so i couldn't finish it.. but all the fabric pieces large enough to go on minibolts are bolted and organised by type and colour. woot. it's all easily findable and accessible now. i have a large pile of fabric that i pulled out that i want to sew into sleep pants. eek. and i have two large piles of unfinished projects. one that i have all the stuff for, one that i need to make a run to the craft store for bits and baubles to finish them. but yeay. now at least i can see all the UFOs and have started production line for finishing them. ![lol](//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/70gKR226h9rBn4CaD0Tc.gif) . 'cause there's a work table i can actually use to do it at. heh. tonight- more finishing of long delayed projects. tomorrow- i tackle the truely scary Other Half Of Crafting Closet. god save me.

Dear DJDJ, Your projects sound interesting... "Alphabet Skirt" and "Koolaid Purse"... You are so sweet to repair your sweet animal's toys. About the 2nd half of Craft Closet... I'm sure out of all of us here, at least one of us will send a hunting party out for you if we don't here back from you soon. Let's see... I forgot your mantra. Recite it often, whatever it is ...and if you didn't have one. Well, make one... Like... "I may be a crazy, crafter but I can control my crafty closet". or "I am one sweet, crafty b**h and can craft my way thru this!" Or "I can do it!" like the little engine that could... i'm on prednisone and couldn't sleep the other night.. i totally emptied out the closet and went through every box in there.. wasn't a ton that i wanted to toss but a scant garbage bag did go away... reorganised everything and labeled all the boxes and restacked them so that i can find everything and access it easily.. hallelujah. reorganised all the fileboxes on the shelves straightened up the fabric... basically. the crafting/sewing area is all useable and organised and accessible now... it's a miracle...
oopsie, now just need to get the office/desk/studying area. it's daunting too:/

I envy your sewing prowess! I used to sew years and years ago. I don't even know if my machine still works! One day I will find out.
Keep up the good work.
