The dining table is such a huge job that I have to break it down into smaller parts

thank you for the reminder that big jobs require small steps. i am having such trouble breaking things down into smaller steps - therefore have been in paralysis because almost everything i have are things that require many steps. WTG on all that you are getting done, pugglemum!

creativechaos - my garage was overwhelming, but I've been doing 15 minutes, or one thing a day, and I'm making progress! I couldn't break it into steps all at once, at first. I guess the first step was to think about it daily and do *something*. I find the steps become clear as I go. Widening the path back to front was first. Clearing the path to the side door. Getting the big stuff out requires getting TO the big stuff. Accept that the big stuff is a later step. Work on what's in the way. Look at what's there. Ponder what to do with what's there. Those are steps. Process feelings about letting go of what's there. Separate other people's stuff from mine. Plan sorting sessions with those other people. Important: execute the decisions made. Get things OUT.
