sidestep Thank you! You know, I've read that book from cover to cover, twice. Took all the tests, did all the exercises. I don't remember that.

It is an example of visualisation which I think I first came across while I was studying psychology in the 1970s. Rory yes, it was. I remember it heavily emphasized the use of the senses, imagining, and actually feeling the positive feelings the imagined room would evoke. I remember that the emphasis was on the feelings and emotions created by the visualization. That was what was supposed to energize the plan. I'm going to try it, using this only as a guide, and see how it goes.

I followed a link: authenticityassociates.com/neural-plasticity-4-steps-to-change-your-brain/ from breakfromchaos thread: takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/thread/24508/adventures-life-coaching and read this. This explains the process - just not specifically for our homes: 3. Visualization Visualization is almost as powerful as the real thing given your brain cannot tell the difference between something real or imagined. Research shows that anytime you are thinking you are engaging and thus conditioning neural pathways. Consequently, whether you are reminiscing about the past, thinking about the present or anticipating the future you are strengthening the neural networks associated with whatever you are thinking about. The most important part of using visualization to strengthen healthy habits is to engage your emotion. Emotion provides the fuel to enlist more neural power for creating powerful neural networks. PRACTICE: Spend 10-15 minutes per day visualizing yourself achieving your goals. This should be so vivid, dynamic and pleasing that it easily engages positive emotion.
