I was looking for this thread too, thank you for starting it, ohblondie. I already washed a load of laundry - light coat and a windbreaker, so I can put them away for now. I checked my chest where I put presents I have ready - I only have to get presents for one person now, I have all the others done. Which is great as I hate shopping before holidays - too many people everywhere, behaving like mad. Apart from the usual weekly cleaning this weekend will be in the garden for me. Will post my list in the morning as it is nearly 9 PM here and I am about to turn my computer off. See you all tomorrow

I almost started one earlier today, but I've been using Leechblock to prevent my surfing here and thus didn't have a chance.
I have visitors coming tomorrow, which is a huge motivator to whip my home in shape. I have been ignoring some basic putting things away and many small tasks, which now become super visible for me as I sort of see my home through their eyes. I don't have much time, though, as I have emergency studying I need to do also, so I'll try to find a balance.
So far today I have been putting things away, vacuumed, washed several small items, washed toilet and BR mirrors, changed sheets, washed a load of laundry and hanged it up to airdry, and folded and put away already dried laundry and other small things.
Things I want to do before my guests arrive tomorrow at 3 PM:
- DONE dust livingroom and bedroom - DONE shine summer and winter shoes - DONE put summer shoes away - DONE wash floors - DONE take out bright light lamp - DONE put away summer clothes - DONE wash floor washing and dusting cloths (laundry room on sat from noon to 1 PM) - DONE clean BR sink - DONE put every item away that is not in its proper place from livingroom and bedroom, or at least neaten them a bit - DONE collect and take out trash - DONE grocery store - DONE wash dishes and wipe counters - DONE bake
It's already past 10 PM here, but I will try to do the dusting, floor washing and shoe project tonight. I also need to study at least 30 minutes more today.

I've been putting things away, going trough paper piles (purging and organizing). Bedroom and livingroom both start to be decent.
There is still some clothing to put away in bathroom and bedroom.
Next: dust BR and LR. No need for perfection, something is better than nothing!

Bedroom and livingroom have been dusted, and various spots around the home have been spot cleaned. Bathroom counter has been wiped and mostly decluttered, just few more items remain (which I am not sure where to put them). Houseplants have been watered. I broke my bedroom tablelamp's shade when I wiped it. It was about 14 years old, I think it was one of the first items I bought for my home when moved in this town. The shade was just plastic, so the time and heat have made it brittle apparently. I'm not too sorry, as it wasn't really my style anymore, and I have been eyeing it for years already. Most items around my home have been put where they belong or at least near their "home" neatly, waiting for me to get around to them properly. Some clothes still to put away. I made dinner and threw away a cucumber from fridge. Booked laundry room for tomorrow morning. Next: study 25 minutes. Then: shine shoes and put summer shoes away.

I studies about 30+ minutes. It's almost 1 AM here.
Next: shine shoes. I have a natural, beeswax based shoe polish, which is a pleasure to use as it smells so lovely.

All shoes shined (that could be shined), summer and winter. The most summery shoes have been put away for winter, and shoe rack arranged with winter shoes. Shining stuff is put away. Now I'll have a short break, then I'll wash the floors - not aiming for perfections, as it's very late already. I'll concentrate on the middles, traffic areas and kitchen. Then that's it for today. I will continue tomorrow.

Hello TML! OK, I am very pleased with myself, it's 2.35 AM and I jsut finished washing floors!!! Now I'll relax a while, before going to sleep. I still have many things to do for tomorrow, but apart from grocery shopping, they are rather quick tasks. ETA: I did one more thing: took out my bright light lamp. Good night!

Right now I'm getting ready to go out tonight. But I'll join in when I get back home. It'll be another late-nighter for me... I'd love to have some work-along company.

Whoa! 6 hours later and NOBODY else has posted?? See? I knew I'd be all alone. Here's what I did today before I went out tonight... - made my bed - washed the dishes and shined the sink - grocery shopped Now it's almost midnight but I am wide awake. Next I will... - sort the laundry - take a load down to the basement - and do my daily paperwork while it washes

Hi papermoon! Don't cry . It's 9:00 am here. I've had breakfast and read a bit here. Now I'm writing my shopping list for today. The laundry I did yesterday isn't completely dry yet (air drying). Next: tend to my sad plants. They can't cry because they are dry .

Watered house plants, made the bed, downloaded some information that's only available for a short time, wrote down spendings for the last two days. Next: shower?

Yay, flotsam! I'm so glad you're here. And I'm really glad you watered your thirsty plants. My laundry is in the dryer... should be done in about 15 minutes. I did 36 minutes of paperwork... sorting and shredding... then I tossed a 2.5-pound bag of shreds down the recycle chute. Now I'll do some digital decluttering...

Ughh, paperwork, and 36 minutes of it! I put citrus cleaner on the hard water stains in the bath tub, let it sit for a while, swept the bathroom floor (yes, it was that bad), had a shower and wiped down the tiles and the tub afterwards. Next: prepare big pot of vegetable stew . This will take more than an hour, but makes four servings, so it's worth it.
