WOW - everyone is so busy and doing so well!!! Diane - the rods, shelves and drawers were removed from the master closet during the renovation. The previous closet system was old and damaged and it was going to cost a lot to have the painters and tilers work around it. So, anyway, we need to have someone put back rods and shelves so that we can unpack our clothes Fortunately, we did remove it because we found water damage which had to be repaired. Worked on office stuff all day - then emptied our closet. Would like to get back to unpacking boxes tomorrow - not enough hours in the day!! PC

1. Maintain the rooms that are now pretty good. (Maintenance, yeah!) 2. Work on my bedroom mess. There are piles everywhere, I haven't washed the sheets and blankets recently. One thing I have accomplished in 2015- I took the ornaments and Christmas decorations down, took the fake tree apart and put everything in boxes now stored in the attic. 3. Get my finances straightened out. Pay down credit card balances as much as possible, And set aside the papers I will need for this years taxes.

Today the only thing that I was able to do was getting my treatment and making sure I drink plenty of hot liquids. Once I got home from my treatment I just laid down and resting for the majority of the day. I am hoping possibly tomorrow to do some basic items and possibly go to Restore for a short time. I may try and do a little laundry today since I need clothes and my blankets and sheets desperately need to be washed but otherwise I plan to rest and take it easy today. I am still hoping to get work done with painting my room but also know I need to take it slow and easy right now.

Unpacked some more boxes. Put out a bunch of knick-knacks. Organized a cupboard and drawer in the kitchen. Moved all the unpacked boxes out of the living areas into a spare bedroom. Closet was installed. Going to unpack the closet boxes tomorrow. Also have to get ready for weekend company.
Good luck everyone with tomorrow's plans/goals!!

Mom just went to go and get paint so I could finish off my walls and we found the paint for the baseboards so I am hoping maybe I will at least be able to finish painting my walls today. I need to move my bed so I can get to the last 2 walls and do those and possibly do the baseboards in that area tonight. Then tomorrow I will try to finish off the rest of the baseboards and touch-up the ceiling. I need to make sure mom or dad can take older ds to scouts since I am seriously not feeling up to it yet.

I slept almost all day. But when I finally got up, I worked on my Kickstarter project, changed a few things, and submitted it to KS for feedback before launching. They are supposed to get back to me in two days.
So this is a real step toward putting my work out there and getting enough money to finish it. Yay!

Wow, you guys are all moving forward and I'm stuck on my goals!! Lara, what is Kickstarter? Tonight I tried to figure out how to get a copy of the deed to my condo. WHY does everything have to be so confusing? The site says I can download an unofficial copy for a small fee, and I can mail in for a Certified copy for a larger fee. I cannot find anywhere on the site with instructions on how to mail in for a copy. I've been on the site for about a half hour, I've looked at my property record, and I THINK I know which document to get--but I thought the deed was given to you when you finish paying off your mortgage, not when you start--it seems like the document I need is the one recorded when I originally got my mortgage. Then later on there's a release from the mortgage--it doesn't say anything about that--isn't that important information to have with your deed, if the deed is given to you when you start paying the mortgage? I'm so confused!! I have to let this go for tonight. These documents are all going to be much harder than I thought. Diane

Diane - sorry all the paperwork is so confusing hope you get things worked out soon. Got the paint from mom and was able to finish painting my walls and touched up part of my ceiling and did the baseboards where I put my bed. I love the color of my room now but wish my room wasn't such a disaster right now. I think I may have pushed myself a little bit to far today but needed a place to go to sleep so once I started I needed to finish. Tomorrow I am hoping that I can get my room back together and move the new entertainment center into it and organize the game systems and electronics better than they are now. I also need to throw out the carpet that was under my bed and organize other things I have in here.

Andrea, you're amazing, I'm glad you were able to get the paint and make yourself a place to sleep tonight!
I came back here to report that I just found an old photo ID from when I was in college, 35 years ago! It's a photo ID (obviously I looked very different then but I think you can still tell it's me) and it has my birthdate AND social security number on it! It has no expiration date on it either, so I wonder if it would work for the SS Administration--they do list a student ID among the alternate IDs, but they say all documents must be current. No, I'm no longer in school, but the card doesn't say it's expired, either.........
I think I'm just going to have to do what ohblondie suggested, gather up every piece of documentation that I do have, and go to the SS office.

Lara, what is Kickstarter? It's a crowd funding program. You post a project and how much money you need to do it. People make pledges … and if the pledges reach the goal, you get the money. You give out rewards for the pledges … usually copies of what you're making and other things related to the project.

Finished all the painting including touching up the ceiling, baseboards, both doors, trim and around the windows. After doing all that I cleaned my floor including vacuuming and threw away the old carpet. Brought up the entertainment center and put it back together and then had to move a bunch of things around to make room. I will probably move things around again as soon as I have gotten thru a bunch of the papers I hope to put on flash drives. So room is pretty good now but I definitely still have quite a bit of work left to do but I can definitely see the end in sight finally.

I am sooooo in! I've started off by getting a big but manageable trash can. Most of my apartment living space is upstairs but I can haul bags down to the can and then wheel them out - saving my back! I can't believe how much better I feel already - even with tons and tons to do. I'm working on organizing clothes which may seem a little strange since there is so much else to do but it makes me feel more a part of my lovely group of friends. Got some clothes hung up - ready to go! Wow - so much cuter when they're hung up! And I'm finding some cute stuff I'd totally forgotten about.
Good luck everybody - baby steps are working for me - whatever steps you're taking I hope they work for you. And let's not forget to have some fun! Tomorrow "WILD". (The movie - not me.)

Financial squalor. It's beginning to look like the revocable trust may be beyond me. I already don't know what to do about a deed for the small house that was built out of salvage with no permits. It has never had a mortgage but it does have tax records and a home improvement loan to prove it exists. I've been told that the mortgage company for this house holds its deed until I pay it off. It's all too confusing for me right now. I'm giving myself amnesty to get only three documents done but now it looks like I've replaced the trust with another paper goal, haha (laughs at self). I have to throw myself on the mercy of the IRS! I have to do it sometime and it might as well be now during this big challenge. OMG, now my stomach is in knots again. Please don't tell me "you can do it". For me that only adds more pressure. Enough of me.
Pats on backs all around!
It looks like each of us is on track and making progress. We mustn't forget that we have another month and a half and a goal is just a goal, not an assignment. Diane, that's a great document. I'll picture them seeing your dilemma and bending over backwards to help. You were wise to pursue that one first. Ande, great job on getting your room painted. I am sure you will enjoy the new color every day.

Hi Pompom, welcome and great idea to get the trash can. Anything that makes the cleaning easier is going to be a help.
Sparkle, it sounds like you're encountering the same logic that I am--impossibilities!
I sent an email in letting them know that the download of my "mortgage release" document didn't work, and they responded asking for my order number. Well, I never got an order number--it never went that far. And then I thought, maybe the credit card information didn't go through and I could just start all over again, so I checked the bank site--sure enough, the fee is listed on there, so they charged me but I don't have my document. And I don't have an order number and they haven't replied to the email I sent back saying I never got as far as an order number.
