I guess I left out my two month goals didn't I? So here goes:
1. Clear the junk around my bed so that I can easily make it every day. Reading at night is one of my great pleasures and slipping into neat clean sheets is so wonderful! And of course a made bed is a happy bed and the start to a lovely bedroom.
2. Clean and re-stock the refreigerator. I want to say clean the whole kitchen top to bottom - but doing the refrigerator is a good start - and do-able. I think do-able is the point of this thread.
Yay us!!!!! I so appreciate everybody sharing and making their goals their own, not Martha Stewart's!

Took a bunch of clothes to UPS to be exchanged/refunded! Put it off for less than a month (haha). Usually I'd just forget about it and have a bunch of clothes that I'd never be able to use. So pleased! And speaking of clothes as I'm going thru stuff I'm finding things I didn't even remember having - some with tags on. My favorite find is a beautiful gray dress - perfect for semi-fancy pants things like plays.
What a good feeling to be acomplishing things - and not letting myself feel too overwhelmed or that it has to be perfect. (Have to fight hard against those two things tho.)
Congrats to everybody!

I'm a brand new member (just joined today) so that gives me 6 weeks to complete the chage. However, given my stellar ability to procrastinate, I think that a shorter deadline is probably better in my case. Here are my goals:
1. De-clutter master bath room. 2. De-clutter kitchen cabinets. 3. Organize business expenses for income taxes. I'm going to get up right now and at least start on #3 before I lose my nerve...

Hello D2M! Pompom, good for you for returning clothes--not buying new stuff is as important as getting the old stuff out. Sandy, welcome to SOS! You have good goals, I hope you were able to get a start on your tax prep. Something that helps me when I make a timed goal is to break things down into how much I have to do each week, that way I know I'm on track. But if you get intimidated by detailed lists and deadlines, just ignore that! I finally got one box of books done today. A little discouraging, because I worked on it all morning, and then for more hours in the afternoon. I was able to grade and list about 25 books, a few were added to the trade boxes, 2 I'm keeping and about 20 or so will be donated. It causes a problem, because the donated ones are still here in the LR in a box, so I had to actually sort through a box and a half to get one whole box gone. There are now 19 boxes in the LR, instead of 20. This is a lot of work, that's why I'm taking so long to do it. But I feel like I can keep going now that I started. And if I make a few book sales as a result that will be a bonus. Diane

I'll join!
1. Clean up the bedroom and sitting room (a room off the master bedroom). This is where I moved all our stuff when we moved in. I made good progress getting rid of boxes, and I started by sorting things by category (books, office supplies, important papers, and so on). Then I have to sort the piles. Next is organizing closets and making the bed, instead of just a pile of quilts. Setting up my keyboard and putting my books in the bookcases.
2. Take care of paper business. Update my will, renew my passport (and have my family apply for theirs), get taxes done.
3. Hang up all my pictures, now sitting in the dining room
4. Maintain the rest of the house
5. Make sure to get exercise (swimming and yoga), though I'm working more hours now.

All so sorry I do not have time to read back, but I promise to make a commitment this week to read back so that I can share in the excitement of your accomplishments towards your goals. My main goal for this Two Month Winter Challenge was to take CONSISTENT ACTION daily. This week was a great week. I ran out of steam a bit towards the middle of the week but was able to pick back up part of Friday and Saturday and I knocked it out of the park on Sunday. For the first time in forever I actually had about 2 hours of downtime were I did not have to do anything specific to met my goals that I have set. This week I met all of my home goals -- Daily Routines -- I did have to give myself some flexibility and amnesty on Wednesday and Thursday. I have started using Active Link (with weight watchers) last week was my assessment week, and WOW huge eye opener in regards to my sleep habits, no wonder I am mentally and physically toast by the middle of the week. The kids and I joined Plant Fitness. DD wants to start conditioning for track and DS thinks he can "Beef Up" his 13 year old 110 pound 5 foot 8 body by lifting some weights. DS will also run track so while he may do some light (very light) weight lifting, his main focus will also be on getting ready for track. The baseball coach at the High School is going to work up a program for DS and DD. I do not have shoes or clothes for working out, and because this week was my Activity Assessment week I did not partake in any physically activity. I did use the message chair and the hydrobed. I will start on Tuesday while DD is at dance. One area I did not make any progress or head way is in crafting and baking. I did cook a bit more this week. Next week I will make peanut butter balls for DS. (Oh so healthy) DSs room is coming along -- other then boxing up AG stuff and moving some old stuff animals and toys over to the garage what is left is cosmetic stuff. I do have a load in the Exp. to donate on Tuesday and 40 books to go to the recycled reader book store. I hope everyone had a great week and that this week will be even better. ONWARD

Good luck everyone!! I have an out of town visitor so haven't done much new but did quite a bit to get ready for her. And, DH and I picked up completely this morning so countertops remain clear and clean. Have quite a bit of cardboard to get to recycling. I'm away on business this upcoming week but part of that time is doing some organization and shipping from my regular office so all part of my process for the next two months. PC

Wasn't able to get much done at the house since last time I posted. I still have lots of papers that I need to work on but also need to work on the cords in the boxes in my room and possibly find more items to donate. I did finish clearing off my bed but forgot to put 2 items in the car to donate but will do that tonight.

My goal was to 'put away 3 every day'. I've been doing that, but decided doing it mindfully instead of part of another job would make it stick in my mind more.
From the beginning, this has been a very helpful challenge to me. It's simple and fast, and has got me looking at 'tidying up' from another angle. Thanks for starting it.

I really like your 'put away 3 every day' goal. I'm going to try it in my public area and then again in my doom room. Thanks a lot.

I was able to deal with one of my major financial goals today. I contacted the student loan people and was able to start the process of getting my loans out of default. I need to get my self-employment papers together and send them in but by setting up the repayment they won't take my entire tax return which I am extremely happy about. I also did a little work on papers today but was also dealing with my younger ds who is sick right now.

I was actually able to finish going thru all the boxes of odds and ends in my room and I have 45 items for donation, threw away 20 items and put what was left, very little, where it belongs so now I am starting to see serious progress with my room. I am trying to figure out what to work on next if I should start working on papers, closet shelves or my sewing items. I am thinking paperwork would be best since I need to find my self-employment papers for this year for my loan consolidation and rehabilitation very soon. I am seriously hoping that by the end of this week I will have all the paperwork I need ready to be submitted.
