I had to visit this thread this morning to determine if the dishes in my dw are clean! Apparently they are, so I just need to unload.

Thanks, wynken. I do have a dishpan. I want to give it a good scrubbing. I started on hand washing one day and never went back to it...
Cleanbee that's too funny!
Emptied bottom rack DW while coffee brewed. Scrubbed the three pots two spatula one ladle. Draining in bottom rack.
During second cup coffee, emptied top rack.

After work, put away pots.
Cleaned dishpan. Washed two small (not very full) dishpans of re-dos, two coffee cups and one supper bowl. Meant to wash the second supper bowl but missed it.
Progress.

Finished first load and put away most of it. Priority will now be restoring whole house to order in five days.

Im in.
I hate doing utensils and silverware, so I made a game where I have to wash one piece for every dish or pot. Helps a lot!

Warning: my opinion ahead... I think that as soon as you say "I hate doing dishes" you've just shot yourself in the foot, and you will never master the task. I flat-out eliminated the H word in regards to my dishes. Replaced it with It worked. Now the dishes get done every day without pain. Try it.

notahappycamper It sounds like a good start - your one for one deal. It sounds like you are passionate about washing up. The opposite of love is not so much hate, as apathy, and changing how you think and feel about those eating irons is possible. It just might take time to call a truce. It will be worth it though.

Okay, I am GOING to get my dishes washed this evening and pack most of them in a box so I only have a 'camp set' for each person. Microwave's pretty embarrassing as well...
