dishes washed last night.
I'm wanting to be more regular with my meals, and being consistently up to date with the washing up helps that. My 'project' atm.

Rinsed the clean dishes I left in the sink yesterday, washed last night's dishes and wiped off counter and sink. That whole procedure took less than 10 minutes. I spent way more time than that putting it off.

I have a run of 2 days of daily washing dishes. I'm aiming at a week of that.

Just thought that I'd drop by . . .
I honestly can say that 99.9% of the time, I wash my dishes daily.
On the **VERY** rare occasion that I don't, I wash them the next morning!
In fact, it now "bothers" me if I can't get them washed daily!! I *NEVER* thought that I'd "get there." It took me more than a year to do that!
Hang in there, folks. Miracles *do* still happen! I'm living proof.

Arid, I'm the same way and it kind of amazes me, since I've hated doing dishes all my life. This thread has helped me so much.
I washed mine this morning before leaving the house.

still skipping days at times here. I caught up yesterday and it took all of 15min. The bad day - it took about 20-25. So overall, its not like the times it would take me hours, or many days of huge loads. So I'm glad of that much at least.

After years of having mountains of dishes around the house, I too feel uncomfortable leaving dishes unwashed. I will occasionally leave some in the sink overnight, but they have to be scraped, rinsed (no visible food particles) and stacked neatly and cannot extend over the top of the sink. I found that I was killing myself trying to ALWAYS get the dishes done so I came up with "rules" for leaving them, that I can live with. But most of the time, the dishes are either washed or put in the dishwasher awaiting washing. It takes so much less time to keep up with them than it took to excavate the mountain. There is no dried on gank that has to be soaked or piles of dishes awaiting a spot in the dishwasher. After dinner, it usually takes about 10 minutes to get the kitchen clean for the night. I can't believe how much less stress there is with maintenance. One of things I really like is being able to get up and make a cup of tea or a pot of coffee without washing up first. I recently purchased a (used) electric kettle and I love it. I can indulge myself quickly. The next thing I want is a French Press, after using one at Squalor Fest, I really enjoyed the freshness of the coffee and the ease of making one cup at a time. Plus there's no huge "machine" sitting out on the counter.

Just finished my dishes. It took longer to run the water than to wash the dishes.

About to dive into hell. Requires rubber gloves. Wish I had a mask to deal with the smell. I don't. Pray. Pictures to come.

wtg imamessGlad to have you join us reddragynlady. Don't think you have to perfectly do them all this first session if there is a huge backlog. If you have made a start, that is definite progress. Every day if you wash more than you use you will continue to make progress. Great to see you again DiI hope the fortune teller in me is right when it says there is dish washing in my future today. pooof to that
