Louie - money is too tight for paper plates or takeout, or even a frozen pizza. So that's really the first thing that needs to change. jendela - I do tell them, quite often, that I like to cook in a clean kitchen. And occasionally I do refuse to cook when it's not cleaned up. They will cook for themselves sometimes, and leave the mess for me. DD has done some dishes since she's been on Christmas break.

I emptied the DW, and put most of the dishes in the empty drainers because they were still drippy. DD came through and said, "why don't you do some dishes? I need some help cleaning up around here." Why does this mood always hit her when I feel like a slug? At least I hit all the basics today, and did a bit of writing, too.

"Olive oil gunks up nonstick cookware." So that's what happened to my nice non-stick frying pan! Thanks, wynken. I learned something new. All dishes were washed up on January 1. Yay, everyone!

I've got a stinking cold and have had two naps so far today (it's 6pm or so, so probably won't have any more.) Have two or three sinks' worth of dishes awaiting me, I am feeling very queasy but the first sinkful is soaking so I'll try and get myself in the kitchen in the next five or ten minutes to wash those.

I'm on a roll! Last night's dinner was wonderful and easy to cook in a clean kitchen. And I have just enough left over for a filling lunch today.I soaked my pans as soon as I was done cooking. I need to empty the DW and reload with what's in the sink some time this afternoon and I'll be all caught up! Chadow

Okay, I've done about 80% of the washing up, there's just a couple of pans, a jug and a spoon thing, plus the plates that tonight's dinner will make. I'm feeling too sick for dinner, though, so that'll save on a plate WTG chadow!

Hi wynken, nearly all dishes done today Just one large pan to soak. I have heard the same thing about olive oil & good cookware. I am starting to experiment with coconut oil, but like canola oil, there seem to be mixed opinions regarding use.

jendela - I know people who rave about coconut oil, with provizos about how it was processed. Personally. I hated the way I smelt when I was using it so I stopped. I is also high salicylate so that may have been the problem for me.
