Done yesterday. I'm mostly doing every other day right now. I don't generate a lot of dishes typically though I did use two pots last night and this morning for meals. Angela, I'm the same way now. I am going to start cooking more though, even if I have to give it away. My db has a hired hand who is older and lives alone. I took him some beans for supper last night and he seemed to appreciate it. Cooking for one is the pits and I'm not cooking enough to eat the right things. This has got to stop. If I had a small freezer, I would freeze portions, but I don't and my freezer above the fridge is full, mostly of cream style corn from my garden and pork tenderloin slices that I vacuum packed.

I caught up 1.5 days worth last night. That still wasn't much needed doing. everyone trying their best, making an effort. Pardon me not searching back for everyone's names. (((( )))) all who are grieving. Especially those who lost a partner (((Ima and Angela))) or a parent (((Daye))). I am often puddling with grief for a friend atm and it has knocked my routines about. Ima and angela - I just have one working hotplate / element, so my meals for 1 need to be one pot or frypan. I just bung it all in together, whether that is meat/fish in with the rice & veg I'm cooking by the absorption method. Sometimes I cook for 2 nights, and plate up the 2nd serving to cover and reheat the next day. I know its extra effort, but its something that you need to do, because you can't avoid fixing yourself meals that suit you, indefinitely. Your lives include a farm, so you need the nutrition that will support you through that.

We are here because cleaning those dishes and cooking things takes effort that doesn't automatically come to us, and sometimes its about making the effort when we particularly don't want to. Boy, did this ever speak to me as I was catching up on this thread. Dishes have not been done consistently at all here - I seem to have lost (or misplaced) the spark I had when I started back in August. I've been washing SOME dishes but I never quite seemed to get them all done. And the kitchen was beginning to look like it did before I joined this thread and I was sort of bothered by it but not really and that bugged me. All that effort slipping away. So tonight I did ALL the dishes. (I really hadn't intended to but I kept plugging away and lo and behold, they got done) I haven't seen those clear, clean counters in a while and it was nice to see. Today's dishes - DONE GRyPiT - DONE Dishwasher unloaded - DONE Sinks scrubbed - DONE Stove drip pans cleaned - DONE

I washed my dishes twice yesterday. I was afraid that the water would freeze and I really didn't want dirty dishes to deal with if that happened. So far the water is fine, although I am cold.

Yes, this exactly imamess. I am not eating good meals with variety because it's such an annoyance to spend a lot of time cooking for just me! But it is not healthy and I need to treat myself better. Dishes done today, just before Mom and Stepdad arrived, we have had so many go 'rounds because of my chronic lack of dishwashing.
